Well Coach did make a bag with the hangtags on it, but I don't believe it was a Carly. I can double check at work, but since all of them are fake, I'm sure this one is too.

I love the Coach Legacy Satchel, the Legacy shoulder bag (10328) and the Mandy. I never see them questioned on this "authenticate this" section of Coach. I'm just wondering whether it's because they're usually not faked (or look totally like fakes if they're not real, so no one needs to get it confirmed). Just wondering as eBay has some great Legacy bags on there and the majority do seem authentic. I'd love a Legacy shoulder bag in whiskey, but they're not available in the store anymore, so I figure I need to rely on eBay.

I have never seen a fake leather bag. From what I've been told they're too expensive for the counterfeiters to make. You can call your local Coach also to see if they can order you the Shoulder Bag. Otherwise give ebay a try.

Do you mean all leather bags, or just the ones Minimouse mentioned? I'm pretty sure I've seen fake Mandys and Legacys, and dozens if not hundreds of other leather styles have been counterfeited over the last 15 years.

Hi again! I finally got my very first Coach bags (yes, plural, I got BAGS!!!) from a friend that hooked me up direct from the outlet in Chicago, so those 2 bags I know for sure are real. However, I was still longing for something in brown, and I adore patchwork. Can someone authenticate this bag for me before I pay? I asked the seller why the leather on that bag looked several shades lighter as the one in the drilldown, she said that it's because of the lighting, and that she doesn't take the best pictures.

That's not good news. I tend to be very careful on eBay and make sure it's from a reputable seller with good feedback and I scrutinize the pictures very carefully. I'll only consider bags that I'm 100% sure of and have confirmation that the bag in the picture is the bag I'm going to receive. Still, eBay is a real maze!

Sorry, the duffle bag is a dark brown. I've called coach customer service and they said the serial number on the bag matches their signature small carry all. I've checked coach.com and don't see it. Here's the pic. HOpefully it works. I'm not sure how to load it on here. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-7/1199365/coach2.jpg
Is this a fake? ID number is K1J-6089. I bought it off ebay and it does come with a dark brown duffle bag w/ red drawstings. The Zipper does say YKK on it..I don't know what other info you need. I'll be sooo sad if it is a fake. :(
