It might just be me, but the stock pictures are definately of the Ali, but the pics of the actual bag look like the Hippie flap. Look at the way the handle is supposed to be attached to the bag on the stock pic. They are attached to the sides...but on the actual bag they are attached at the top like the Hippie bags are and the strap looks too long. Very suspicious, even if the Hippie bag is real, why misrepresent?

I noticed that, too, and emailed the seller. Turns out it IS the Hippie bag, which I'm not interested in. And, of course, they totally misrepresented and LIED about the bag being an Ali, its measurements, its original cost, etc. They did change the listing to reflect the pictures of the actual bag and the proper number and name now, but the measurements and strap length listed are still wrong. Overall a bad auction.

Everytime I even browse ebay I feel like I get scammed. I either have to suck it up and order it full price, buy at outlet or wait for PCE because ebay just gives me the heebee-jeebees!

HI Everyone-I am new here and just love reading all of the previous posts. I found a bag on ebay that I really like (even though it is missing a stud) but I can not identify it. Here is a link to the ad:

If anyone out there can help identify it or give me an idea if it is authentic I would appreciate the help.
******BETTER YET-I READ & FOLLOWED THE DRILLDOWN PROCEDURE AGAIN AND FOUND IT!**** I love this forum! I just don't know the name of this style yet. Thanks again!

That bag is the Soho Stitched Hobo. It was out about 6 months ago. If you purchased this bag, you may be able to take it into Coach and have them send it in for repair. I don't see anything that would indicate it was a final sale, so I wouldn't see why it would be a problem. Good luck.

No, no, no! The striped legacy tote is called the Katy and it was never made reversible. Also it should have metallic gold/copper leather trim with brown canvas lining.

TxRose, Thank you! That's what I thought , but I wasn't sure and thought maybe this was just a dept store exclusive or something. Nice idea tho! Thanks again:yes:

Thank you so much! I am trying to win it-will find out about the repair if I do. I appreciate the information.

I would ask the seller for pictures of the inside pocket. Ask them if there is any SKU or any kind of markings on the interior of the bag to indicate it was a final sale piece. I would just want to be sure that it wasn't final sale before I bought it. Also the bag in the auction says that is brand new and with tags, but I do not see any of the Coach tags on the bag pics. So I would ask about that as well, because if tags aren't on the pics, it's likely you aren't going to get an item that is new with tags. Hope that helps! I just like being extra cautious when it comes to eBay. I would not want to get burned.

Is anyone good at authenticating older leather bags? The serial number doesn't come up in drilldown. Anybody that could help even a little or give advise would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Can somebody please tell me if this is authentic? Thank you :)
