There is a detailed explanation of the creeds in the Authenticity thread - Hyacinth prepared I believe. The 1 in the first series of the creed is the year manufactured. Since this purse does not have a lining, I believe this is from 1991 but I definitely could be wrong so you should review the authenticity thread and find the exact explanation. I don't think in this case the 1 means 2001.

Not, definitely not necessarily. Not everything shows up in the DD and lots of items don't (factory store only items don't example) Current styles on the website won't show up either. You should post the actual links to the auctions (assuming they are) for a better answer but I think both could be real. The first looks like it's the new denim striped tote.

Since hearing about them... I've been YEARNING for the Red Patent Ergo...
I do not live near ANY Coach stores etc... so my only way to get bags is via websites etc... Wondering if this may be the way to go... the red is not listed on the coach website yet either! What is the retail on this.. and is this the large size?? Authentic??

it's authentic, retail is $468 plus tax, so you're pretty close there

it would cost you the same to call coach (the number at the top right on coach.com) and order it even with paying shipping, and then it is guaranteed

it's style number 11009 I believe (I just ordered one yesterday)

OK, I bought this one after I got outbid on the last one. And on the listing AND in person, everything looked good to me. Still does. Except one thing.

Just above the nickel hardware, the left C of the center horizontal Cs (still with me? ;) The top of the C doesn't quite match up across the seam.

Now, this bag is used, and I knew that and am ok with it. So this question is a two-parter.

a) is this automatically a fake or
b) could an imperfection like this occur from use, wear and tear. If not b) then, for more clarification, what COULD occur just from regular use?

Also, the serial number on the creed patch (I don't have a pic, but it is identical to my friend's almost brand new hampton carryall creed patch) is F05J-8K07. Just in case that rings any bells, because I am not good with serial numbers.

*sigh* I'll be so sad if I got taken for a ride.

Hopefully you all can make my day. :)
