i just picked this up from ebay. does anyone know this style? i tried the dd but since it is an older model it didn't come up. any help would be appreciated! Oh, the model # on the creed says No. H4C-9954. It says that it was made in the US.

I don't think the one you're bidding on is authentic. Check this one out --> http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/view...=16648703&sp=1 I believe that one is authentic... the one you're bidding on has a diff # of stitches and just looks a tad different..

It may be real, but the checkbook cover was included with the wallet on the genuine ones. I think the seller is pretty slimy for selling them separately.

It's called a Prairie Bag and it's genuine, made in 1994. Nice find!

Can you post the link or the auction number of the one you bid on? I tried pulling up the one in your original post but it wouldn't come up. Don't pay for it until you're sure it's real, if the number of stitches don't match the one in the above post it may be fake. I have a genuine bee I can check it against, but I need to see the auction photos.

Don't worry, sweetie, I think you got one of the good ones (hands JBug a fresh handkerchief and gives her a hug). Your bee has the correct number of stitches, so wear the little fellow in good health!

(Just to clarify - Coach does use some brown-with white gift boxes, but the fake ones will be the same size and shape as the white-with-brown ones, all the fakers did was reverse the colors)

Here's what one of the fakes looks like - notice it has fewer stitches in every segment
