Yes, it proves it's fake. A bag with that number would have been made in 1994, and the Signatures didn't come out until about 2001.

Don't waste your time going to look at it. I think someone else pointed out that the C's weren't aligned correctly either.

I guess that isn't a dust bag, it is a waterproof bag. Does that make a difference? I don't see any other Coach bikini's on Ebay, they all look the same, some are in black, but there aren't any to compare it to.

Can someone please tell me if these bags are real? I bought all three on eBay. I received the Coach swingpack yesterday and it just seems suspicious. The leather trimming is not as nice as other Coach bags I have.

Those all look good to me. My friend almost bought that first one at the outlet in January.

Does this bag look like there is a possibility of it being authentic? I have requested photos of the creed, but, she/he has not responded. If it is a style that Coach has never made I will not put it on a my watch list!

I'm going with fake on that one, sorry. The closure looks completely wrong for a Coach bag, which (as far as I know) are usually dogleash, jacket-style zipper, or full zipper. I've never seen one with that flap thing. Plus it just looks fake to me all-around. And the seller's only got 3 feedbacks, which would send me running.

SnazzyLady, I did an Ebay Search for "Coach straw leather" and found several bags that were similar but not identical, but with the same design and type of closure:

eBay: COACH IVORY STRAW w/BLACK LEATHER TRIM BAG PURSE NWOT (item 160091561757 end time Mar-09-07 19:15:00 PST)
and
eBay: SET OF 2 COACH HAMPTONS STRAW HANDBAGS BEACH BABY BAG (item 120093313234 end time Mar-09-07 16:29:47 PST)

They're showing style numbers of 4468 and 4469 and both look genuine and like they were made for the outlets. There's a good chance the bag with the pink trim is genuine too.

(Coach did use a similar closure on some of their late 1990's leather bags, BTW, I have one of their Bridle bags with that same hidden magnetic snap.)
