The inside Coach panel isn't dark brown, and the large tag on the strap has a metal hole for the leather to go through... and I've never seen that before while the bag itself seems to be authentic...

I found 33 of the same style at Ebay and the ones that specifically list the colors as khaki and chocolate all seem to have the light-colored creed patch. And all the hangtags have a brass grommet.

Cordeelia, can you post pictures of the inside of the bag and the creed patch? If it's an auction item, a URL for the listing would help. It's almost impossible verifying a bag with just one photo and we really need to see the inside, especially on a Signature Optic bag since you can't judge it by the alignment of the C's on the outside fabric..

Whoops! Never mind, I see you already got an answer. Guess it's time to make some coffee before I answer any more questions...

Has anyone seen the large leather gallery totes IRL? I won an eBay auction for one yesterday for an awesome price and I have since started questioning the authenticity. The auction photos look good to me and the seller's other items also look authentic, but the Coach stamp/embossing on the front of the bag is throwing me off because the Coach.com stock photos doesn't have it. I'm wondering if anyone has actually seen this bag IRL and noticed whether or not it's supposed to have the embossing on the front.

Like I said, if you look at all of the auction photos the bag looks authentic. The seller has decent feedback (no authenticity questions) and the rest of their items also look good. Any thoughts? Thanks!!

I got a cognac andrea from them last week. It was authentic. It had a light surface scratch in the vintage leather, but that bag scratches if you look at it.

Oh and some of there ratings are for shipping. Mine arrived ok - packed ok.

They must have a source for new bags that hasn't dried up yet. Some of there stuff is at the outlets. They may also use price averaging to recoup their losses (make more on some stuff, lose on others).

THANK YOU! I suspect that it is authentic. I appreciate your input and comments about the shipping, too. When I paid I specifically requested that they ship in a sturdy box because I was a little concerned about that, too.

Yeah, I have seen worse. The bag was stuffed with tissue and the box was the right size. It wasn't smashed into a small box. It fit nicely. I have over bought lately and received alot of boxes. If I am not mistaken, they may have used 2 USPS shoe boxes and taped them together.

Nothing beats the old padded envelope or an LV shoved into a Priority mail slim box!
