Hey ladies! I'm buying this one from a private seller today. I matched the fabric, the colors, the style. Can anyone give me the number on the creed for this bag? I just want to make sure I got it right! Also - can you verify the style for me?

Thanks in advance!

It's a signature Soho Hobo, looks like the large size. I need to see more pics, including a picture of the creed, zipper pull, and the handle to tell what the style # is. Can you ask for a picture of the creed?

Maybe it's just me. A few of the bottom C's look skinny and incomplete. But then again I haven't seen any other bags like that so maybe they used to be made like that or something.

I see what you mean, but it's the way the fabric was cut and sewn together at that seam. It's kind of hard to explain, but there's one piece of fabric (front of bag) and another piece of fabric (back of bag) and each piece was cut at the same point on the C's and then sewn together so that the C's that meet at the bottom of the bag are actually mirror image halves that are sewn together. That's why they look skinny. I don't know if this explanation was clear. If only I could draw a picture to show what I mean! :p

She just emailed me back. There's no inside photo, but she said that there is "Coach" printed on the liner inside. I just got a fake Coach at a 2nd hand shop and found out from this very board that Coach doesn't do that with the lining. So, I am suspecting that this is fake after all.

Too bad, it's cute.

As always, there are exceptions to this "rule." Signature items should not have signature lining nor lining that says Coach. However, some leather items will have signature lining and some wristlets and mini skinnies do have lining that says Coach. This looks like an older style wristlet. It looks ok from the picture, but I agree with you that more pictures are needed. I would like to see better pics and a picture of the inside as well.

This looks ok so far, but ask for a picture of the inside to make sure. What is that other tag on it?

Are you in the UK? The price in the title for this doesn't make sense. The seller is saying that it retails for £105, which translates to about $207 USD. :confused1: This is the Bleecker Leather Wristlet and here in the U.S., the retail price was $58, though it can now be found in the outlets.

The creed on the first tote looks OK. That seller buys much of her inventory from other Ebay sellers, so in those cases you have to be a bit more careful about authenticity. I think she's made a few bad purchases in the past.

I'm pretty certain the wallet is genuine, but I'd still advise paying with a credit card in case you find that it isn't. It's almost impossible to be 100 percent sure any wallet is genuine, but I'm not seeing any problems so far in the seller's other listings.

Unfortunately it looks as if several inexperienced buyers are engaged in a bidding war, which is really foolish with four days still to go in the auction. I have a feeling that the price will get pretty high, but I wish you luck.

Thanks again for your help Hyacinth I contacted the seller of this travel tote http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310050829196&_trksid=p3907.m32&_trkparms=tab%3DWatching (which I have now decided against) as she said she had other items including a wallet which she hadnt listed on ebay and after several emails I managed to get her to send me a picture of the creed of the actual wallet (she originally sent pictures from coach's website). She said she can raise a Paypal invoice (outside ebay) for me to pay, will it still be safe to go ahead with this transaction in your opinion?

I buy from the UK from time to time. I'm in the US.

I'm still new to Coach. There are outlets? Is there a directory online, so I can find one near me, or should I just google that? I'll try that.

I wondered about the alleged original retail price as well and asked the seller about that. I'd sent 2 emails. 1 on the shipping fee, which she responded and is very reasonable and 1 on the original retail price issue, which I haven't heard on yet. In that email, I also asked on the other tag, which I was curious about. Hopefully, she'll get back to me today.

What is the lining supposed to look like?

Thanks for your help.

Lime_Skittles,

Maybe the seller got the exchange rate backwards? Or maybe she just figures that the average UK buyer won't know any better and think it actually retails for 200 dollars. Here's Coach's page, the black one is still available on the website:
http://www.coach.com/content/product.aspx?product_no=10187&category_id=240

This should have the Tattersall lining, similar to this fabric:

You can search for the outlet stores of any manufacturer here, just enter Coach in the appropriate search box:

I would NEVER agree to an outside-of Ebay transaction personally, since most of your actual buyers protection only covers Ebay items. The seller is trying to avoid Ebay fees but if you find out that there's a problem with the item, you won't get any help from Ebay. That seller seems a bit difficult to deal with, but wait for other opinions please.
