I can't tell you if the bag is authentic but the serial number is because it works on drill down

Hello again, I found another bag that I would like to know if it is real or not. I appreciate all of the advice you guys give it really is valuable to those of us who don't know what to look for.

Teal Coach Handbag. Contrasting camel colored strap.

Ok. So I just purchased a Leigh from an ebay seller, and I was pretty sure it was real. My mom loves it, so I was thinking of getting her one in Whiskey. I am confused, though. All the Bags floating around on ebay, including mine have completely different stitching from what you see on the Coach website. Is this normal? The first link is for a Leigh that I am looking at on ebay, and the second link is to the Leigh bag on Coach.com. Any help would be so appreciated. Thanks. The stitching differences I am referring to are on the front of the bag. Thanks, again!

I'm guessing that you're talking about the stitching on the pockets and the buckle tab?

This is why we always tell people NOT to depend on the Drilldown as proof that something is real or fake. Coach makes changes all along as a bag goes into production, and sometimes they deliberatly show the wrong details on the DD photo to mess up the counterfeiters. The Drilldown is JUST a guide.

Check the listings by trustworthy Ebay sellers instead:

This one looks good. The reason the stitching is different is because this one (and others on eBay) are the '07 Leighs while the ones shown on the Coach website are the '08 style. Same bag, slightly different stitching. I agree with Hyacinth that the drilldown shouldn't be used solely to determine authenticity, as little details may vary.

Probably real but a closer pic of the creed would be good. That bag is probably darker than what's shown in the photos, BTW.

And we can be a lot more confident if we can see the actual auction so we can check the seller's other listings, history and Feedback. There's a lot more things involved in telling if a Coach is fake than just pictures. And a clear photo of the creed is essential.

The bag might be genuine - the seller has been on my Trusted list for a while - but that small blue charm hanging from it is from a FAKE Breast Cancer Research keychain. That same seller is "giving away" several other questionable charms on some of her bags.

The second looks ok to me but a second opinion would be good.

The third - we really need to see the entire auction and a photo of the creed. I would NEVER buy a bag based on just one lousy picture and neither should you or anyone else.

Interesting observation, Hyacinth. I've come across another seller on eBay who has also been on my trusted list and sells authentic items, but I've noticed in her buyer feedback that she's purchased a few fake keychains. It makes me uneasy that these could end up slipping through in her auctions or packaged together with other items in an auction.
