Hello! I am interested in the charm but the style #5764 comes up as a ladybug on the drilldown. Were style numbers duplicated on the charms? Does this charm look authentic?? It seems to be but I am confused about the style number. TIA!!

The seller may have made a mistake and re-used part of an older listing. The correct number for that Scribble Flower charm is 1814 which matches what tiny bit of the style number I can see on the price tag.

You might want to contact the seller and ask her to double-check the style number, but the charm in the photo looks completely genuine. Good luck!

It looks ok to me, but there is only one picture. It's always a good idea to ask the seller for more pictures, especially a picture of the creed.
Starrymaz,

I'm sorry for not responding sooner to thank you for your reply. I lost my internet for a few. I have a pic of the creed but I'm trying to figure out how to attach it in a message. I'm new to this and also don't know much about Coach. I'm reading all the posts and now I'm concerned about a wallet I just bought. The red flag is "no returns" and the price is below outlet. Please see what you think. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=130214805546&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=003

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm really concerned about the wallet now.

Hi, is this true with wallets too. I've seen a couple of Coach signature wallets with the lozenge lining in the bill compartment. Does that mean they are fake or are there exceptions? TIA

No. This is one reason why it's so dangerous to use the same "rules" for all Coach items, or for Coaches made years apart. SOME genuine Signature wallets can have Logo (lozenge) linings. Whether they do or don't is no proof whatsoever that the wallet is real or fake unless a wallet has a lining it's not supposed to have in that style.

There are no simple "rules", except maybe for the "Cs on the right and left sides must be mirror images" and there are exceptions to that too like the Optic patterns and a few Scribble Hobos, Scarf Print bags and the new Soho Signature Cotton bags.

And most so-called "rules" don't apply AT ALL on older bags or wallets. Every item has to be analyzed on its own. That's why if I'm not familiar with a bag, I won't give an opinion unless I see something that I absolutely know is wrong on any Coach. And I've been wrong about that more than once too. :shame:

The best way to know if a wallet's authentic is to actually hold it in your hands. Fakes feel lighter, often have visible splotches of glue or flaws in the stitching or the joining, etc. It's a good idea to actually buy a wallet or three at the Coach stores and keep them for reference - pictures can't tell you everything you need to know.

As for prices, I noticed that the seller lives in Conneticut, so you may want to ask for a photo of the receipt or ask them where they bought the wallets. It's a remote possibility that they used player points from a local casino to buy them at the full-price Coach store in the casino complex. Then the wallets didn't cost them any cash out of pocket and anything they make on the sale is pure profit.

Hello,

I would appreciate an opinion on the authenticity of this wallet. After I started reading all the posts, I'm now concerned. There are too many red flags. The seller does not accept returns, very little feedback, no history of selling Coach and the price is below Outlet prices. I didn't know anything about Coach when I bought it, but I still have time to file a complaint with PayPal.

Thank you

Read my post right above this, and wait until you get the wallet. There's no reason to worry unless the wallet doesn't feel right.

And you have the burden of proving to Paypal that an item is fake, so you have to have solid provable reasons for any claim, remember that.

I have the wallet, what am I feeling for because the leather does not feel or as smooth on the flap as does my Whiskey one that I personally bought at a Coach Store.

I'm also trying to post a picture of the creed in a purse I just bought but the file size is too big. Is there a way I can send it directly to you?

Thank you.

To post a pic of the creed, save the pic to your computer, then open a Reply window and click on the Manage Attachments button. Browse to the folder where the photo is, select the pic and click Upload. Hopefully the pic should be transferred to the post - watch the size limits though.

There's a long Sticky on posting photos here:
http://forum.purseblog.com/feedback-dropbox/posting-photos-25.html
and you can test your post there first.

As for the wallet, if you have a Coach full-price store fairly close, you may want to ask someone there to look a it, just don't tell them you bought it on Ebay. You can say it was a gift from someone but you don't care for it and want to re-gift it but you want to make sure it's real before you do.

Thank you...for the advise. The problem with my pic "IS" the file size and I'm trying to figure out how to make it smaller. It is a new camera LOL. I see people refer to a "Downdrill" site for checking authenticity? What is it and can you please post the link for me?
