Thanks!

I am extremely wary of purchasing wallets on eBay, as they are some of the most commonly faked items and are especially hard to authenticate without seeing/feeling them in person. Please wait for Hyacinth's opinion on these before bidding.

Do NOT buy from that seller, those wallets are fakes.

ok first of all the pictures of the first one are kind of far away so it's hard to tell completely, and the price seems right, so I would have to say probably authentic.
Now the second one looks the same as the first except for one thing, the cheap paper and plastic tag. Now unless this tag was put here buy some department store for their own purposes, I would have to say that this one is probably fake. Coach doesn't put those cheap things on their purses.

I believe it's against forum rules to use these threads to promote your own merchandise. Even if you're earning money based on "Click-throughs" it's still self-promotion.
Also, your link is coming up as "Questionable" with Site Advisor so I would NOT recommend that anyone click on that link.

If using the selling price of a bag as proof of authenticity is one of the things suggested in that program you're pushing, then it's not worth diddly-squat. "The picture is blurry but the price seems right?????" That's one of the most useless comments I've ever heard here.

And as Starrymaz posted, please explain exactly what "cheap paper and plastic tag" you're talking about.

Your previous advice on these wallets in post #5841 was also completely wrong, at least one wallet is fake:

I'm not trying to be a beetch, but so far all you've done is given is very bad advice and self-promoted something you're selling or earning money from "click-throughs" with. I'm strongly suggesting that the members here ignore your "advice" at least in regards to Coach because none of it so far has been valid as far as I can see. Maybe some of our LV experts can take a look at your replies about LV authenticity too.

Hi: I have this bag in Lime Green. I bought it a few years ago at a coach store. The first line of the listing says it is purple leather and it is not leather. It is fabric like a satin. The pull on the purple one is pom poms and mine is thin long leather pieces. The side of the bag shows where the handle is attached to the bag, mine has the Coach logo with leatherware, est 1941 on it. Also the creed inside is totally different. The numbers could be because of the year, location, color (I really don't understand them) but it is L04J-1891. It is also out of leather and not suede. I love this bag, I tried to return it after I bought it thinking I wouldn't use Lime Green and every store employee was taking dibs on it, if I returned it. So I kept it, I guess with that much attention it was a good bag to keep. I am NOT a coach expert, I am asking for help on bags myself, but when you see one you have, I just thought that I would make a comment. This might be a authentic bag and things changed since I bought mine, but I would wait for someone else to put in their input. I also saw it in Red on the coach website. It looks like mine. :hrmm: :smile1:

The seller's bag is a differnt style from yours. The style # in the listing is 8F21, which matches the one in Coach's files, right down to the pom-poms:

Your style # 1891 belongs to a different bag:

The description of the bag being leather is wrong, but please check the style numbers before comparing bags and implying that one may be a fake. That's not fair to the seller.

Hello, again ladies! Hyacinth seems to be the "goto" girl for a Coach Wallet.......can you please tell me if you've ever heard of a fake having the outlet "Target bullseye" stamped on the wallet by the made in China stamp. I'm looking at a wallet from a seller that only shows one photo. She stated she bought it on Ebay a few yrs ago. Didn't use it, so reselling it. She sent a pic of the bullseye to my email. But, she is selling a pair of "Coach shoes & a few other purses". All her other Coach stuff looks FAKE! All the C's on each piece completely match together on the top & bottom. (This is a sure sign of FAKE!!??? isn't it) The wallet seems auth! Please tell me what you girls think........it ends today! Thanks!!

It is really hard to give advice without seeing the items. Maybe if you post a link to this person's auction then that would be helpful.

Hyacinth, it seems like you're the one to go to for wallet authentication - could you please check if this wallet is authentic?
Thanks lots!

I'll almost never say that a wallet is authentic, just that it looks genuine. You really have to touch and feel a wallet, there's no way to guarantee authenticity just from photos.

This one looks ok, but I don't own one in that style to compare it to - pay with a credit card if you can so you can get the charge removed if it turns out to be fake.

And there are several other posters here who are very experienced with wallets so don't hesitate to ask them. Just be careful about accepting advice from posters with no track record.
