thank goodness... something about it seemed off and the gal I work with has the same one in the gold color and she thought it looked fake but was not sure... are there some reputable ebay sellers out there? seems like everyone is selling that bag :)

Yes, there are reputable ebay sellers, but the Carly is a commonly faked bag, so you really have to be cautious. Beware of auctions that only show stock photos. Always make sure to see a picture of the creed. Check out the seller's feedback and other items they're selling to see if there are any red flags. However, even if a seller has 100% positive feedback doesn't necessarily mean they are selling authentic items. Be sure to ask here before you bid. There are many great gals here who really know their stuff! ;)

I am in search of a Raisin Leigh. Can anyone offer their opinions on this one? Something about the legacy lining looks off to me. The stripes appear VERY narrow in one photo, but thicker on the close up of the creed in another. Also, this seller just sold a Raisin Leigh this morning using the same photos. Thanks in advance!

The reason the stripes appear different is because the creed picture is from a different Raisin Leigh than the Leigh in other picture. If you look at the creed picture closely you can see that the order of the stripe colors is different in the two pictures. This seller's items appear to be authentic, but the seller sells several of the same style bags and re-uses the same pictures. If you have any concerns, you can ask the seller for a picture and creed picture from the ACTUAL bag they are selling.

I'll do that. Thanks!

Do both of these bags look real to you? This top one only has one picture, but the seller has a 100% rating of 482 and they have been selling since 2000.

This is the second bag. They also have a 100% positive rating of 406. This seller has more pictures of the bag, but not an up-close one of the creed.

Does anyone have any opinions on these? I trust your judgement much better than mine!!

THANKS SO MUCH!!

I'd say those are authentic b/c those are currently at the outlets.

Ask for a pic of the creed just in case though :)

:DTHANK YOU SO MUCH SHY*VIOLET!! I really appreciate it :D

I hope I win!! The big one (the bottom one) has a buy it now of $180... I'm worried about not getting it.. do you think it's a good deal for $180? I wish I lived near an outlet and knew how much these were selling for!

Hi. I'm new, my name is Anita. I'm here because I think I bought a fake Coach bag. I'm kinda disappointed, but still not certain about it's authenticity.

My biggest giveaway so far is the creed inside says the bag was made in Turkey. Everywhere I've looked I read that the bags are made only in China. The lining isn't as nice as I'd hoped, and the strap isn't leather.

I don't have photos yet, but I'm betting at least one of these suspicious issues can help someone break the news to me that my bag indeed is NOT Coach, and I probably paid too much for it.

Coach has made bags in six or eight different countries including Turkey AND the US. Whoever told you that Coach only made bags in China doesn't have their facts straight. Some of the exotic leather bags are still made in Italy, and although ALMOST all the current bags are still made in China (which has made them so easy to counterfeit) Coach in the past has made bags in the US, Italy, Turkey, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and Hungary - almost everywhere except Korea. If your bag's more than a few years old it could have been made in any of those places.

If you post a link to the auction where you bought it someone here can tell you if it's real or not. But if the strap isn't real leather, that's not a good sign. What's the serial number at the bottom of the leather creed patch inside the bag?
