Forgot to give measurements

It is 11' x 7''

Genuine Convertible Clutch, style 9635, from maybe the late 70s or early 80s, Whateve may know what the approximate dates for the stamp on the strap clips would be. The color could be Burgundy but I'm not comfortable guessing colors, and all it would be is a guess. Maybe someone else might want to try, there are too many variables, from the actual date, the condition of the leather, whether it's been dunked, when it was conditioned last, the lighting, camera and computer settings... there's even some color variation in your photos.
I've seen anchors on bags with both NYC and US creeds so I believe they used them up until the late 80s. I've seen that two tone dye job on bags made in the late 80s as well. We don't see a lot of it so I wonder if they only had that issue for a short time. I can't tell if it is burgundy or brown from those pictures.

Thank you so much, you are all so wonderful! If I get brave I will pull out my tote and find out if I have always been so lucky! Just looking thru all the info from you wonderful people has been so helpful! Again thank you and I'm so happy to have found people who with knowledge! :)

I am hoping that this link will get to the pics she sent of the crede and label, it wouldn't let me copy pic.

The creed is very small. I don't see obvious problems but I'd like a larger image as well as the white tag with the serial information.

This is the size of the picture I'm seeing and my eyes aren't young or good enough to see what I need to see!

Thank you Hyacinth & Whateve.

The bag is not burgundy, I see how it could look either burgundy or brown from the photos.

It is definitely a dark brown color with lighter brown trim. I just am not sure if coach had a certain name for their browns. I have heard of "mahogany", "British tan"....

Thank you for all of your help. - Christine

THAT'S why I don't even try to guess colors, I'm seeing Burgundy with brown undertones. And cameras hardly ever see colors the same way the human eye does.

My suggestion - call it whatever suits your fancy. No one will come to arrest you, the Coach Purse Police were made redundant a long time ago. ;)
