Good evening Ladies.. I seem to have an unhappy customer (who left feedback without contacting me first) who thinks that the bag I sold to her was inauthentic..

Could you please authenticate the bag? Thank you!

Are you going to refer your buyer here?

Did she say why she thinks it's not authentic?

Honestly, I wish buyers would verify that their accusations are valid before doing this to a seller.

The buyer didn't say anything; in fact, I only saw the neutral feedback she left, which says "Wish I had read this more carefully .I thought it was an authentic Coach bag."

I've already messaged her to inquire as to why she thinks it's not authentic, but I'm not sure if I will get a response. But I will definitely refer her here (even if she doesn't respond to my message)..

Hello! I wonder if the experts have an opinion on this little one? Thanks so much!

It's good.

???? Were you referring to the Dinky that xiaojzhang posted?
That's the one. Not realizing that she was already moving on the issue, I opened a "Post a Reply" window when I got my youngest's email about the bag, then got distracted. It was only after I submitted the post that I saw the two immediately above and realized that mine was redundant. Better coordination required. My apologies.

I guess I'm confused.

This is what my email update showed that your post said:
I would appreciate expert opinion on the #9375 Dinky shown below. My youngest is questioning the "look" of the serial number, whereas to me it looks very similar to the other Dinkys that have passed through my hands.

TIA.
Was your youngest the buyer?

XJZ is my youngest. She's the one who's decided that it's time to sell off everything I've acquired over the years that're post metal tag era (except for certain special items that she wants to retain). Previously, I'd get the items authenticated before she listed them, but it seems that she's gotten out ahead of me on that front. As I mentioned before, I believe that better coordination is in order. Sorry for the confusion.

LOL! Okay, I get it now. It's a family affair. (I envy you. I can't get any of my family or friends to come here!)

Every detail on that Dinky is exactly right, and it's definitely a genuine Coach, made in the late 1970s or early 1980s. It's impossible to pinpoint exact dates on the very early bags since Coach didn't include date codes in the serial numbers until 1994. But that IS an authentic and vintage Dinky Bag.
