The ebay item number is the listing number.

This is an authentic Berkeley field bag. They don't come up very often. I think it is gorgeous! Every seller is different in what bids they will accept. Some sellers will get insulted if you offer too little. I think that a 15% to 20% discounted offer is reasonable to start. If you look at the seller's old listings, she originally had it for sale for $174.95.

Hi Whateve,

Thanks so much for the quick reply and the very helpful advice. I've been looking for this in black or brown and was really excited to see it. Will take your advice and see what happen. Enjoy your Sunday!

From the pictures it looks like the Standard (smaller) version #9860, with measurements a tick under 10x8 inches. I don't see any problems but the photos are really bad so I'll cover my butt and say probably genuine.
Thanks, Hyacinth! Fingers crossed that they check out. I tried coaching him/her through taking better pictures, but...yeah... you see how well that turned out. Once I get more info I'll be sure to post it along with the other auction I won :smile1:

Is this bag authentic? It looks like it's missing a letter in the word scratches.

It's fake. Besides the misspellings, it has fake overstamping marks and a frame around the entire number. The number is on the fakes list.
I missed the listing before it was removed but found a cache.

For those who might want to save pictures, here's the creed:

I realize this listing has ended but after just having found a "close" fake patchwork bag from the seller, I'm curious about this one.

I'm not sure I've seen fakes with a correct Italian plant code and correct "made in Italy" text.

While I know that there can be more than one stamping machine per plant, the prefix

And another listing with the same prefix but different spacing, font, letter shape, etc.

And this is another Sonoma with the same year and plant:

Is that willis authentic or fake?
