Maybe someone else will recognise it. It's probably OK, since fakes makers prefer to make higher-profit items like handbags, but there are always going to be some items, especially smaller accessories, that we may not be able to be 100 percent sure about. Buyers just have to take a chance.

Here are your other posts, if anyone else wants to take a look:

I recognize it. It's from around 2011 and it is called Chelsea Flagship leather crossbody 45916. I believe it is authentic. It is a small bag so it doesn't have a creed and it was made before they were using tags with creed numbers.
I agree that the bag is authentic (if you're looking for another opinion).

Hi I'm new to TPF but have read many helpful tips here. I almost bid on a few items by cattleprod121 last night but all of the Coach bags this seller had looked suspicious. The listings have ended but I wanted to post here in case I was right and the seller posts more bags. If I"m wrong I'll consider buying from this seller.

Can you please tell me if they are authentic?
Thanks!
The listings can't be authenticated because there aren't enough of the right pictures necessary for authenticating them.

However, I'm not comfortable with the bidding patterns in cattelprod121's listings and I would avoid this seller.
Good Morning BeenBurned!

Could you please share what you're seeing as a problem with cattelprod121's bidding patterns? (Or share a link to any guides about this issue.) I'm still new at buying at Ebay, would be helpful to be able to spot this problem before bidding on something.

TIA!
If you look at the bidding history of this bidder, it looks like shill bidding. (Newbie, only bidding on one seller's item and all bids at the very end of the listing period often indicate that the seller may be using another ID to raise the final price.)

purchased on ebay a few weeks ago and was about to list it and the creed does not have the same words as other coach berkeley 9014
1 style is berkeley 9014
2 listing number 172045251057
3 seller jenjenjenjenjenshear

The font used in the serial number isn't the same as the other examples I have of bags made in that B plant in 1996. And it's almost impossible to see in the photos, but can you post a photo of the BACK of the turnlock plate assembly that's on the flap? I have a bad feeling about that too. And for the heck of it, see if there's anything stamped on the backs of the buckles holding the ends of the strap.

We KNOW the B plant had the correct creed stamp for the Berkeleys because I have a photo of the creed from a Berkeley Zip #9011 made in the B plant in March 1996, see below. It doesn't match the creed in yours and neither does the serial number font. The hangtag isn't right either but that's not a dependable proof either way.

Listing it would be a very bad idea, at least until we can see that other detail. I doubt very much if it's genuine but it's a "scary good" fake.

the turnlock doesn't have indents but that might have been changed
the bucles say solid brass
Is that the defining tell of it being fake?
As always I Appreciate your help sooo much

"Solid Brass" on those buckles absolutely means Fake. Coach stopped using solid brass buckles in the late 1980s on everything except a few early 1990s Dakotas. The buckles and the mistakes in the creed wording and serial number fonts are absolute proof.

Get your money back from the Ebay seller.

If jenjenjenjenjenshear doesn't agree to a return and FULL refund (or better yet, allowing you to just destroy the bag since it can't be resold anywhere), open a SNAD dispute. Knowingly or not, she sold a fake, clearly not verifying authenticity prior to listing it.

If necessary, refer her here.

Thank you Hyacinth.
I have bookmarked the guide you suggested & will read it.

One question I have is , how does one know the age of a bag if it was made before the 90's? Does one have to rely on coach catalog history?

Thank you for your help
Christine
