Item: Vintage Beautiful COACH Hippie Crescent Crossbody Hobo Bag in Black Licorice
Listing number: 255863226
Seller: RebootVintage
Link: https://www.etsy.com/listing/255863226/vintage-beautiful-coach-hippie-crescent
Comments: Creed pic attached. Are the measurements listed correct?

I only have a few vintage coach pieces, and nothing from the legacy line (and I think this was part of the legacy line?). How does the quality of these pieces compare to older bags?

As always, thanks very much for your help!

1- genuine Bonnie's Legacy Small Zip Satchel from 2000

2- Bonnie's Legacy Zip Satchel from 2000

3- NOT "Bonnie Cashin Era". None of these bags are, they were made as a tribute to BC after her death in 2000. Cashin hadn't designed for Coach since 1974. I wish sellers would do five bleedin' minutes of research before they start misleading their buyers, "Bonnie Cashin Era" implies that it was made during Cashin's partnership with Coach, and it wasn't. That's why it's called a Bonnie's Legacy Linen Canvas Small Zip Satchel.

4- genuine Madison Satin Clutch from 2005
Thank you! It's contradicting when they use 'era' and 'legacy' when describing it, it's one or the other. They probably use both as kind of 'buzz words' to get more views on the item.

"He"? Figures that it would be a guy who's clueless about how important that extra strap is. He probably could have sold it for at LEAST 50 or even a hundred dollars more just by showing the strap. Not to mention by using the right name or style number. But at least some buyer got a good deal, sorry it wasn't you.

Keep looking, I hope you find one.
Thank you! I know I would have bid more if I knew it had the strap. Will keep searching. Thanks for all you do!

This one is fake. The E plant code was never used for the US.

If you find one that is authentic, the quality can be wonderful, particularly for items made in the US, Costa Rica or Italy. Some bags that were made from the mid 90s up through the early 2000s are sometimes better quality that some of the older bags.

Actually, "era" is a term often misused by sellers, but in this case "Legacy" is part of Coach's official name. Usually, but not always, when Coach uses the term "Legacy" in a bag's name it means it's based on an older design although not necessarily a close copy.

Referring to a non-Cashin design or period bag as Cashin or Cashin era is more than just using a buzzword, it's misleading and in my opinion, deceptive, since an actual Cashin or Cashin era bag almost always has a higher potential selling price or auction value than a standard Coach. If I had bought a bag described as a Cashin and found out that it wasn't I'd probably file a SNAD complaint if I had paid Cashin prices for it.

This is one I have not seen before;

Wool Tweed tote 6127 (I've seen several descriptions online but no real name)
10 1/4" x 10" x 4 1/2"

I thought I had taken more photos but the back is the same without the pocket and the bottom is solid black leather.
