I just purchased this piece -- please authenticate. What year (thereabouts) is this pocket purse? Also, I thought it was British Tan (per the photos from auction) but when I received it it's much more of a dark/classic brown leather color (last photo)...seems to be closer to mahogany. I've never owned Coach vintage British Tan before...is this the actual color with no flash/not daylight?

It's genuine but it's not British Tan. It looks more like Tabac or Mocha, and it's from the late 1980s. Coach had a lot of brown and tan shades during that time and it's very hard to tell what color something is just from a photo.

Thanks, Hyacinth!!

I was hoping for a British Tan bag, so this might go back for sale on Ebay. Too bad, it's a super clean and well taken care of piece for 1980s.

Hello Ladies..I have had these fobs for awhile but never used.Only one was purchased (#1)..the other 2 were in lots. I have always assumed they were fake but after reading about the dangers of lead content I need to get your opinion before I discard them. Also..what would be the best method to do this? Thank you for any help you can give on these!

The one on the right looks okay and appears to be 92019.
The one on the left looks good but I don't know the style number.

The middle one is fake. It's trying to copy 92361 which looks like this:

Thank you for the assistance!
All look fine. The first one looks permanently damaged. The lining would melt if it came in contact with certain chemicals. That is what it looks like to me.

Thanks whateve! On the first one, you don't think dunking will remove the substance (glue) if that's what it actually is? The seller also advised that there were three to four more similar spots on the lining! Too bad, it happened to be the primary one I was interested in! nogood:

You're welcome! I could be wrong, but it looks like it is bleached out and there are holes. Something like this happened to me with a Madison - I spilled acetone on the lining and it just ate right through it, hardening it up in spots, so someone could think it was glue.

It is a gorgeous bag, and not a bad price. Maybe you can figure out how to patch the lining or use a insert so you don't have to see it.

Thanks for the great ideals. I could always add it to the pending rehab pile that I've acquired!:graucho:
