Please authenticate. Thank you in advance. Not sure what the name of this bag is or how old it is; would appreciate any guidance. The magnetic lock has a US Patent #.

The bag is 12 inches high, about 12 and a half inches wide and 3 inches deep. the strap is something like 22 inches; it's hard to measure an attached strap.

Here's my other thrifted find of today. Think it is a Willis. Would appreciate any help dating it. The female part of the turnlock has no indentations on the back. The dimensions are 10 and a quarter inch wide, 9 and a half tall, close to 3 and a half wide. The leather on the strap is 34 inches on one side and 12 on the other. Not sure where you start counting the length of a Willis strap -- at the leather or at the base of the brass? Thank you in advance, as ever, for your keen eyes and expertise.

Both are fine. #1 is an Ergo flap from 1997. The second is a Willis from 1998.
If you read the Salearea guides: http://www.ebay.com/gds/Coach-Serial-Numbers-the-Basic-Facts-/10000000034886433/g.html
you will learn how to determine the dates of manufacture. For bags with style numbers in the creeds, we don't usually need the measurements.

Thank you!

Your link brings up another listing.

This is the one you're asking about.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-brown...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Also please include the item number: 221934710658

It looks good.

1- It's almost impossible to read, but the bottom of the creed looks like it says Made in the United States. The description says it's made in Costa Rica but that phrase doesn't look as if it fits correctly on that bottom line. The seller also lists the number 0936 in the title, but it's been my experience that sellers usually list the LAST set of serial number digits, and a Logan Bag which is what this looks like and which was introduced around mid-1992 probably would have a serial number in the newer 4+3 format so it's unlikely that the last set of digits would be 4 numbers. The small details of the creed stamp itself also look like it's from a US plant, not a Costa Rica one.

It may be ok but I'm not comfortable authenticating it without a full creed and number photo. I know because of the tiny top opening it's almost impossible to get a decent creed photo and that may be the best the seller can do, but I'd like to at least know the FULL number and have them double-check the country of manufacture.

2- the Anderson Zip looks ok.

Thanks so much Hyacinth for all the info about that Logan bag. I have been "off the grid" the past few days Camping. I didn't notice the Costa Rica part in the description. I stopped at "Logan!!!"
Yay on the Anderson.

Two bags from Goodwill to authenticate please. I think I found a green roll bag!

Coach Red Shoulder Purse*(25291965)
Item 25291965

Coach Handbag / Purse*(25323953)
Item 25323953
Seller goodwill
http://www.shopgoodwill.com/viewItem.asp?ItemID=25323953

1- seems genuine, could be a Swagger but there are no clear photos of the top zipper ends so I can't be sure

2- genuine, possibly a Roll Bag 9887 from around 1991

The bag BB linked to is a Full Flap Messenger Brief. Rather heavy but has nice leather. You want to make sure the interior divider is intact.

That seller is either very confused or a bit incompetent.

The bag is NOT a style 9061 - not even close.

Seller says it's made in China but that's not what the creed says.

And yes, I know sellers often reuse all or parts of previous listing templates. But it's stupid to do that without checking if the facts about the new bag match the desciption in the original template. "Short cuts make long delays".

There aren't enough pictures to be sure what style it is. But if you get the same exact bag that's in the photos, it looks genuine. It could be a Pocket Purse from the early 1990s.
Thank you Hyacinth. I'll keep you updated with what arrives :)
