* seller put name of item as Brown but the color I see is blue?? Is this bag re-dyed? Because if it is, I'm not interested in any re-dyed leather bag.

Thanks so much for helping me. [emoji4]

#1 might be okay but I'm not seeing a label in any of the pictures.
#2 is authentic. It is really blue and they made this color. The seller just made a mistake in the title. It says blue lower down in the listing. I own this bag.

I have a comment on the seller of the blue bag, lucky-jayman and a pet peeve of mine.

Ebay gives sellers increased visibility when those sellers have a return policy. And sellers who do have a return policy have to accept returns for ANY reason. Item does NOT have to be SNAD.

Yet lucky-jayman and other sellers mislead buyers by stating in their listings that "Returns will only be accepted with a 14 DAY return policy only if the item(s) is Damaged, Broken or Defective." This is NOT allowed!

And this listing from the same seller (listing ended early) was for a fake:

Thanks for the pictures! I had Minetta in my files for 1993 too but I wasn't sure if it was available before that. Not only can't you depend on catalog pictures but the dyes they used on the Lightweights faded terribly. The zipper is awfully bright on that Minetta to have been put in a super dark green bag IMO.
the photos seem to show that zipper as lighter than it is, I was thinking my lighting may have done that , I have the Bag in my hands and the zipper tape is as dark as the bag.
the hangtag is a darker green than the bag though.
I think I will upload another pic with a pic taken outside for color.

maybe this shows a better color, I took them outside in the sun. any thoughts?
the leather is a lighter weight than other older bags I have and have seen
Thanks

Oh no [emoji32] I paid few seconds after I read it's authentic

You'll be fine.

You'll get an authentic bag as long as you get what's in the listing. I was merely posting to show that the seller has a flawed return policy (in violation of ebay rules) and had listed a fake recently.

And if for some reason you want to return the bag, you CAN do so for any reason at all -- even if it doesn't match your eye color!

Like we always say, colors in photos on the internet can be affected by a lot of factors including lighting. That's why trying to guess what exact color a Coach bag in a photo is can be frustrating and sometimes impossible. Most of the time I won't even try. The color of your bag in the second set of photos taken in sunlight looks more like Teal than anything else. :D

Of the two pics of green Coaches that I posted, one was apparently taken inside a photographer's studio or something similar, and the other with the 2 bags was taken outside, as were a few other photos in that same catalog. The exact same bag probably would have photgraphed differently in those 2 settings. Hard to see in the photo, but I thought the glimpse of a turnlock on the car where the tonneau cover would normally be fastened was a nice Coach-related coincidence, Kudos to the late Bonnie Cashin for what she did with that simple piece of vintage automotive hardware. Check out the pic below, the car is about 28 years older than the bags. Vintage cars are almost as much fun as vintage purses (just a lot more expensive to rescue and rehab!)

And it's not just on the internet that can cause color confusion - a shirt I wore a few days ago looked like a perfect example of Hot Pink when it was hanging in my closet, but when I went outside it turned into a Salmon or Shrimp color with definite hints of orange or coral in natural sunlight.

Yes i know color can be tricky, I am a graphic artist and need to do matching quite often
its a B***ch sometimes.

I think the question was about the zipper color being off for the color of the bag so I tried to show in natural light that it is a pretty good match, and LOL it is green and not teal :p

Thanks, I'm glad the zipper is a match In Real Life. It's a neat bag, no matter what color it is!

You caught that little turnlock on the convertible...what an eye!
