Whateve and Hyacinth, thank you both so much!

I've been looking at vintage bags all afternoon and I actually just found another that I'm into. I would really appreciate it if you guys could authenticate this one as well - looks like a '97 Lexington briefcase.

It's a genuine Lexington Brief made in 1997.

But WHY the seller is listing it as "Coach Crossbody Small Purse - Vintage Coach Purse Black Leather Bag - 90s Black Leather Coach" has me completely confused. It annoys me no end when someone throws a bunch of inaccurate words or descriptions into a listing title just to get more hits. JMO.

I couldn't agree more! It's not small, it's not a purse, and at 18 years old I'm not even sure it's vintage, technically.

Thank you so much again!

Hello, question on whether this is genuine:

Vintage Coach LUNCH BOX ZIP 9991 Black Leather Crossbody Bag

Seller: zpznz

I don't know whether it's my computer or if TPF is screwy but the link didn't work:

It didn't work for me either.
It looks authentic to me.

There is a Michael Kors authenticator on that subforum. Whether she feels as we do knowing if someone is a reseller, I don't know. It certainly doesn't hurt to ask.

Perhaps if you just post pictures (don't mention selling), you might get help.

I'm confused...AUTHENTICATE4U is not a subforum - it's a paid service.
I can't imagine why they would turn down anyone's money??
Not to mention that I did not say or allude to the fact that I was a reseller.
I used my real name, personal email and facebook page (which has nothing on it
but the basics. I only use the site to look at family/friend's newest pics. There is not and
has never been a reference to my business.
I don't have a separate facebook page for business and don't use any
social media platform for advertising, and I asked for a paid authentication for ONE handbag.

I'm sorry. I misunderstood your question.

I realize A4U is a 3rd-party professional authentication service. I thought you were just looking for verification that an MK bag was genuine and didn't necessarily require a professional. A4U does authenticate for anyone. Thus, my referral to CinthiaZ. Some authenticators who volunteer on TPF won't authenticate for sellers. (I disagree with their thoughts, but that's an argument for anotehr day.)

Actually, I find it impressive that A4U turned down a request for a brand for which she doesn't have a "specialist." Too many other services (discussed on tPF) will take anyone's money and will "authenticate" but because they aren't expert in the brands, they've made mistakes. And the mistakes go both ways; deeming fakes as authentic and genuine items as fake.

I believe Lesley (of A4U) has posted that she's looking for additiional expert authenticators and maybe she just hasn't been successful in finding someone who wants the job.

But again, rather than hurt her reputation by pretending to authenticate a brand where there's no expert, her company has the integrity to turn down a job. IMO, that's impressive!

(And if you want to see the damage and errors done by some of the other "professionals," a search of the subject will pull up lots of references.)

Okay....I realize now that that you misunderstood.
Actually it's not that I NEED a professional paid authentication, an educated opinion would
be a big help.
However I am aware of the MK subforum on TPF and their policies/feelings
about resellers.
I was very put off by the response I got from another subforum here
(Longchamp) so if I feel unwelcome I would not even attempt another request.
Hence I stick to the Coach and Dooney subforums where the atmosphere is not
"snooty" and awesomely friendly and helpful!
