Hi, everyone. I had my eye on this but the price went too high. The final sale plus Global shipping would have cost me 300 CDN but I'm still curious as to what it was. I tried to find out on the wayback machine under travel but couldn't find it. I got the seller to send me pics of the creed and the bottom and it had quite a bit of loss on the piping so I probably would have passed anyway. I'd still like to know what it was, though. Is it authentic and what is it called? Thanks, ladies.

Interesting - it's a Gramercy Travel Bag.

Hi. This is not authentication request yet, as I'm planning to buy Vtg only. I saw a nice Coach I'm interested in but I don't know if this style (11419) is newer design or old enough to be vintage?

eBay item no: 311447840669

Thanks so much for your help

TRUE vintage is at least 20 years old, which means that no truly vintage bag will have any letters of the alphabet in the serial number unless it was made in 1994 or 1995. To be considered vintage right now, a bag would have to have been made in 1995 or earlier.

Please read the six Salearea Coach Guides before you go any further. If you've read them once, read them again. Their focus is mostly on classic and vintage Coach although they cover newer details too.

And NOTHING that says that it was made in China is vintage (or ever WILL be, as far as I'm concerned! Whether it may some day follow the "20-year rule" or not, calling a Chinese-made Coach bag "vintage" would make me upchuck)..

And DON'T lock yourself into "just vintage". There are plenty of GORGEOUS bags that were made in the mid and late 1990s - remember, those WILL be vintage in just a few years. Don't pass something by because you think it isn't old enough.

Any real collector of vintage or antique anything, whether purses, jewelry, furniture, whatever, will tell you the same thing - buy it because you love it, not because it fits in a certain category or because you think it may increase in value. And don't pass up something you really love just because it's not what you usually collect.

+1! I love my 2007 Bleecker large flaps!

Also some bags actually have vintage in the style name, so even though they aren't vintage, it is appropriate to use the word "vintage" in the title.

Thanks Hyacinth. If the piping had been in better shape I may have bid more aggressively. I used a sniping service and decided not to go after it. I bet they must've been pretty expensive back in the day. The items described as cabin bags on the wayback site were around 600 USD back then so I can't even guess what a Gramercy would have gone for.

Hello. I like this bag, could any of you please help me to check if this is genuine coach before I bid? Thank you so much.

There is nothing you can do with the damage on that bag either. Not is a significant gouge.

Also verdigris around the rivets, grommets and buckle, spreading onto the leather.

Coach rehab addicts might be tempted to have a go at it.
