Morning all! Picked up 3 pre - 1994 bags at an estate sale this weekend that I'd like ask you to review please.

Bag #1 - 9455 Basic Bag 173-1305 (NYC)
Where: Estate Sale
Comments: Wrist strap looks to be a later addition?

Estate Sale Bag #2 - 9825 Mini Bag 070-3936
Comments: Could you also comment on color? I think the Mini is Saddle while the Basic Bag is British Tan. I've added a pic with both for comparison.

Both are authentic. The basic bag was made 1978-1983. The strap is correct for the bag. The metal they used for the zipper rings wasn't the same as the rest of the metal and often turned gray like that. The mini basic bag was made around 1989-1990 so even if both bags are BT, since they were made at different times, the colors could be different. In 1989 there was a color called sandstone for a short period of time but your bag looks a lot like the BT pictured in the 1989 catalog. Saddle wasn't a color at the time this bag was made as far as I know.

Thanks for the info! I saw Saddle listed as a color in the 1988 catalog but didn't catch that it was an option for Lightweights only. Appreciate you looking at these!

Where purchased or how obtained: Depop

I recently purchased my very first Coach bag on Depop, and I'm a bit concerned about its authenticity. I've heard from many people that counterfeit Coach bags are pretty common...... I did my best to inspect it before making the purchase, but after learning that there's many fake bags, I'm no longer confident this bag is genuine. Would you be able help me see if this bag is fake or real?

I have what appears to be a Coach x Peanuts 2014 Collaboration Surrey bag in British Tan. Creed patch indicates it is limited edition, 38/125. It was purchased at Goodwill a while back, and I stashed it away for several reasons: one of the zipper pull tabs is lighter than the other, the Coach carriage stamp on the front of the bag near the top seems shallow, and I had heard the Collaboration bags were faked.

Approx measurements: 11" wide, 9" high, 8.5" deep, handle drop 5", and crossbody strap drops up to 23". Silvertone hardware. Black fabric lining stamped Coach. Interior zip and 2 multifunction pockets. Coach hang tag and Peanuts turnlock leather "book" are attached.

FWIW, all (or nearly all) examples of this item were from Japanese sellers and sites and that makes me nervous but there's a difference in yours that makes me think yours is authentic vs. another from Japan that I believe to be fake.(I don't want to be too specific - the fakes are already too close!)
