Can you get a better picture of the full creed and serial number? It needs to be completely legible. Putting a light coating of eye shadow or powder on it might help us read it.

If your mom bought it from coach store or outlet, then it’s authentic, if you thinking of resale it, it’s probably better to save the time and effort.

Thank you for this detailed information. I was planning to come here to ask for authentication of my bag with serial number K4C-9968. I was getting discouraged in my efforts to identify it myself because I kept seeing the 1993 Mitchell and the 9938 style number without context for the design changes. Your post clarifies exactly what I needed to know – I have the 1994 version with a wrist strap and clip-on crossbody strap.

Oh thank you so very much! I just took photos with baby powder! I wondered about it because of the stitching of the lining but I do recall that wasn’t a make it or break it! Appreciate your expertise and have a great day!!
