Comments: The creed says J13-9983 which is what makes me doubtful since there is no letter following the number (I thought the factory code is all letter?). And did they make regina in 2013??

I recently bought this Coach bag off of Depop which is the Ashton Baguette in the brown/khaki color that has sherpa on the pockets. Since I bought this off of a re-seller app, I’m skeptical that I was sold a fake one.

I’m not too sure what to look for when checking if a Coach bag is authentic since this is the first Coach bag I’ve bought. However, I’ve done a bit of research and looked at a few videos to give me more insight, however I’m still not sure if I want to trust my own judgement.

Here is the information about my bag and some pictures included. I really hope some authenticators could help me out here, Thank you!

I think I got a fake here. Can you confirm?
A5B-3906. A Hyacinth post says this is an "always fake" serial number. However, could it be a manufacturing error on the creed? 4906 is a Medium bucket zip natural grain, which is what this looks like, the measurements match that, 12.75 x 11.75 x 5.25. And the A5B, the 5 would be correct for the manufacturing year, 1995.

ETA: Looks like a really nice bag, the leather is beautiful, so if counterfeit, I think I'll keep it anyway and cut off the creed.

It's authentic. At one time, all factory codes were letters but then they started using numbers. It's not 2013, it's 2001 with a factory code of 3. Now factory codes are two digit numbers.
