  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Hi, i got this bag at goodwilll and sold it and the buyer says its fake. The number is: H2048-CO721. I'm sending 12 pics of the bag and 3 of a bag the buyer is comparing it to for comparisisn: Buyer states this: The buyer is comparing it to a brown version she has that doesn’t have screws on the sides, but is stitched leather, the front solid leather portion is wider on mine, there isn’t a leather symbol stamped under the zipper pull on mine, and she says mine doesn’t say “New York” on the crossbody hook.

The creed looks unusual but there are others on ebay that look similar so not sure. Also if anybody knows the actual name of this bag please LMK. THANKS!!!

no it is from an old tote I bought years ago. I own it - There are about 20% fakes in there. This looks fake except there are lots of them online, which is why I asked.
For example, here is one that looks similar. Honestly every one I have seen looks like this. Maybe there is a nuance that makes mine different than this, though.

Your bag is authentic, made in 1999 as are the other bags of the same style that you linked.

The creed stamping and serial number are correct for the years and the factory in which they were made.

The bag looks fine.

Often, buyers unknowingly compare different styles but unless the comp is apples to apples, there are going to be differences.

While there are plenty of fakes and buyers should use caution, this isn't a case of getting a fake.

Please refer the buyer here if she'd like additional information or reassurance.
