IMPORTANT READ-ME

Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.
For further information, please refer to the first post on page 1 of this thread.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller and site where listed
    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

Although I don't see any problems, I have a request that you hunt again for a small white tag. Stick your hand way down into the lower left corner of the zipper pocket. You may have to turn the pocket inside out to find it but I think there should be a label in there.

If you find it, please post a picture.
Thanks @BeenBurned

Request welcomed and accepted alas unsuccessful in every pocket, corner and crevice 😢

You win some you lose some, right?

***Low priority - I own these bags from an estate sale years ago and I am trying to authenticate the entire lot.

Is it possible to authenticate chunky cases or a skinny case? I don't know what to show on these to indicate authenticity. One chunky case (the brown one) has a creed.

1. Skinny Case Red
2. Chunky Case Yellow
3. Chunky Case British Tan (some sort of mark down the center).
4. Chunky Case Mahogany - this one has a creed but no serial, made in Costa Rica.

They all have YKK zippers and a Coach marking on the lower right corner.

Man I really need to clean these!

***Low priority - I own these bags from an estate sale years ago and I am trying to authenticate the entire lot.

Hello, I would like to authenticate this lot of 9988 Saddle Bags - 7 bags total. I believe the second one (Blavy color) is a definite fake but not sure about the others. Thank You!!!

#1 L6M-9988 - Brown color - does anyone know the actual shade of this bag?
#2 J8P-9988 - Blavy - Known fake I believe
#3 C7M-9988 - Black
#4 B7M-9988 - Mahogany
#5 M6M-9988 - Black
#6 J8H-9988 - Red (could be J6H - really hard to see)
#7 L6B-9988 - Red
This should have been split into more posts because it is difficult to keep track of so many and your pictures aren't in the same order as your list. The first one pictured (red) is fake. I think the three following, all black with M plant codes, are authentic. The blue one with the J8P prefix is fake. The brown one looks authentic. It's probably British tan.

ETA: the red one pictured in the following post, with the L6B prefix, is authentic.

Again, your pictures aren't in the same order as your list. I'm not seeing the creed for the mahogany chunky case.

ETA: we don't need to see zipper manufacture.

ETA2: I now see the creed is in the following post.

I'm not seeing any problems with any of these. They are notoriously hard to authenticate but I think they are all okay.

thanks very much!! OK so the blavy J8P and the red J8H (or J6H) is fake for the 9988's.

Yeah I realize now it mixes up the photos. I won't post like that again. They were in order when I linked them and thought they'd stay in numeric order.

Here is the Mahogany Chunky Case again.

Hello Authenticators - Low Priority - these are bags I own and I am authenticating the entire lot.

Taft Bag 9980. I have 2 Taft Bags here, one mahogany and one British tan.
Mahogany has 3 pictures, front back and creed. BT has 5 pictures, 3 creed pictures that I darkened to try to show the numbers.

The British tan serial number looks like H3D-9980. I took 3 pictures of the serial to try to show it.
The Mahogany taft bag is T6F-9980 and seems fake.

Thank You!!!

Mahogany is fake. The other looks okay. I think it is H5D.

Hello Authenticators, low priority.

Plaza Bag 9865 (Large) - My personal favorite.
2 Plaza Bags here.

1. #018-8041 in color Forest Green (not Bottle Green). I have 2 pictures of the creed on this - for some reason I couldn't get the flash to take.
2. #017-2006 in Black

I'm hoping these are both real, the black one is in excellent condition.

Hello Authenticators, low priority.

9865 Plaza Bag Large in Black and 9860 Plaza Bag Small in Mahogany. The pictures look like BT but this is a lighter version of mahogany, or I don't know what IRL. The photos almost look burgundy (I wish).

***The black one is a bean bag creed****

#1 Bean Bag #023-5048
#2 040-0010

Thank you!!!!!

You've got a picture of an extra creed in there. Ignoring that one, looking at the first two creeds and bags, they are authentic.
