It's authentic. I don't have an exact name. It's probably a Hudson something. Maybe someone else knows.
I found a few of them on ebay, they all look the same.
Now the dilemma, someone gave me the same bag but it has the
dreaded J8Y prefix.
Maybe this is one of the rare authentic ones???

Sorry, no. (Have we found any authentic ones?) The creed has the wrong wording and the magnet doesn't have the correct markings. I'm sure there are other things wrong. Every one I've ever seen was made at the P plant. I doubt they would have geared up more than one plant for a style made only for a short while.

1- no apparent problems but no creed photo either, can't authenticate

2, 3, 4 - ok

We've found some very close ones but nothing that could be proven authentic.

And did anyone notice that the "8" in the style number part of the serial is upside down?

Thank you!
I have 6801 Hudson flap and 6807 Hudson small zip. I have 6803 in my files with no name. What other Hudson styles are there?

6803 is a Hudson Bucket and 6804 is a Hudson Hobo. I don't have anything for 6805 or 6806, if they even exist. There's also a 6810 that might be a Hudson Lunch Tote but that's just a guess.

Here are 6803 and 6810, pics 1 & 2

ETA - adding 3 pics of 6804, the laptop-size Hudson Hobo (there are 3 of them plus a fake in Completeds right now)

Comments: Please help me authenticate this purse. I'm really hoping that I was not ripped off.
It looks good. (And I think you were lucky because many of those yard sale sites are loaded with fakes!)

That's why I put photos of the magnetic closures, I figured that might help.
Okay, good to know - thanks so much!

Sorry but it's fake, as are all J8Y bags. (See a few posts above yours with another J8Y bag.)

If you aren't going to use it and choose to donate, please cut out the creed and remove the fake hangtag before donating.
