We consider all J8Y prefixes to be fake. I think the logo on the front of the bag looks off too.

The logo is stamped much too close to the edge of the flap. The strap mounting rings aren't shaped correctly, and neither is the strap buckle. The stitching on the inside above the inside pocket isn't right either.

Tribeca styles like the Tribeca Flap are highly and accurately faked. The hardware has to be examined very carefully, including the "male" part of the magnetic snap and ALL the stamping on it, and the underside of the strap buckle. Many Tribeca fakes have "E" plant codes with Made in the United States creeds

All good to know. . . I saw someone with one in the grocery store the other day and I liked it's simplicity and lines. But then read that they are highly faked so I will be careful before buying one!

Hi,

I posted earlier requesting authentication of the Coach Edie Pebbled Leather Shoulder Bag and was asked t post the serial number from the inside pocket which is now included in the attached images.
Please let me know what you think.

Thank you-

Hi- I just posted the inside tag for you to view.

Thank you for your help!

Comments: This looks like a fake Station bag to me. Should I report?
yes, report. It wasn't made by Coach. It looks like someone put a Coach hangtag on it. The seller says it doesn't say Coach anywhere on it but must be authentic because their sister-in-law owned it! That inside thing looks like Dooney.

Yes, and that blank oval patch on the flap also looks like Dooney...an unhatched duck? Definitely an odd duck!

It looks like a style 4301 Sheridan Checkbook Wallet. Coach had discontinued the Sheridan line by the beginning of 1995 so it could only have been made between 1992 and 1994.
Thank you so much Hyacinth !! I was searching for mid- late 1990s & couldn't find it. It is a loverly wallet ! Even better to discover it is "kinda rare " if it was only manufacured between 1992-94! HOOO~RAY!! :snowballs:Thanks again for your help:urock:
