I agree with Whateve, the second bag is fake too. The stolen creed pic is for a style 9060 Slim Duffle Sac which has a completely different body style AND strap attachment than the bag in the first photo. The top zipper pull is also fake, and I can't think of a Coach bag with the same body style as in the second picture and an extended TOP zipper with a rounded end like in Picture #1, except for a 9944 Taylor Zip and that has squared O-rings holding the strap ends, and both ends of the top zipper have a brass snap or rivet. The end of the strap isn't sewn correctly onto the O-ring either.

Excellent catch, Whateve! I missed that too.

Compare the side of the brown fake, first 2 photos, with the side of a genuine black Taylor Zip, second 2. The last pic is a genuine 9060 Slim Duffle Sac.:

The zipper pull is what caught my eye. I've never seen one like that, but then.... I'm no expert nor do I have a very long history with the brand.

I was all ready to to buy it, but glad I was too tired to do it yesterday. :D

Hello-

I need help authenticating this Coach Handbag found in a local consignment Shop.
There isn't a serial number on the Creed and that caused me to reach out. I did see other bags in the same style online also without the serial number.
Name: Coach Edie Pebbled Leather Shoulder Bag in Violet

Love the color - perfect for the Fall
Thank you for your help!

HI ALL!
Please Authenticate this two tone Sheridan? Wallet. I'm guessing mid`late 1990s?
Thanks in advance!! S.

ebay Listing : Vtg Sheridan Black Pebbled Leather COACH checkbook wallet organizer Kisslock

It looks like a style 4301 Sheridan Checkbook Wallet. Coach had discontinued the Sheridan line by the beginning of 1995 so it could only have been made between 1992 and 1994.

Again, my apologies. I didn't catch the zipper pull until after the fact but I'm sure glad you were too tired to buy it at the time!

I don't see any red flags but I'd like to see the label inside the inner pocket. That's where Coach is now putting serial/style numbers.

So are we!

Just a reminder to tPF'ers - when buying anything from Craigslist, take your Smartphone or tablet with you, or print out a clear hard copy of the photos and description. Make sure you're getting the EXACT item in the listing! And of course, bring a "backup" if possible and meet only in a busy public place where you, your money, and your personal electronics will be safe.

I would have liked to have known what the creed in the fake actually said though! Those oddball zipper pulls on older bags almost always mean it's a Korean fake. But I'm glad you didn't waste your time finding out.:graucho:
