IMPORTANT READ-ME

Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.
For further information, please refer to the first post on page 1 of this thread.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller and site where listed
    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

Good morning Authenticators! Could someone take a look at this unusual (to me) coin case? I was thinking I had asked about this previously, but wasn't able to find my request when I searched. The tag calls it a "MBK Coin Case". What would the MBK mean? A couple of photos from the listing are attached. (An eBay listing for this in a different color states it's from the 1990s, does that sound correct?)
Thanks for any input you can provide.

Item: NWT Coach Tomato (red) Molded Bleeker Coin Case

Hi I am new!
Can someone help me authenticate this bag?
I am looking to find out what it might be worth if anyone does that here. I have a sense it's old and rare.
Item: 12x9" purse with loops and strap
Where purchased or how obtained: estate sale
Comments: tiny coach stamp, no serial
Measurements: 12" x 9"

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!

Not an authenticator, but as far as value, do a search on similar bags and what they've sold for, and are selling for. A similar suspender bag is currently for sale here for $1140. https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m43430497293/ If authentic, yours is probably worth more, because yours is pre-creed.
Nice find! It's authentic.

We can't advise on prices or value because there are so many variables. Condition, color, rarity can affect prices. Generally, items are "worth" what a buyer is willing to pay for it.

It seems okay.

I'm guessing on "MBK" but it might be an abbreviation for molded bleecker.

This item is certainly NOT from the 90s. It's from within the last few years, my guess post-2020. (I'm not sure of when the 7xxxx style numbers came out.)

Great info - thanks for your help! I, too, thought this wouldn't have been from the 90s. My guess was that Coach would have likely used a box instead of clear plastic packaging in that timeframe.

Item: listing says “coach purse #4153”

Mercari link: https://item.mercari.com/gl/m63979768365?sv=0

Seller: O. W

Wanted to check and make sure this is authentic. Attached are pics from the listing, thanks in advance!

The bag is genuine but the streaky color on the front could be a big problem. I'm wondering if it's been re-dyed. It looks like a bad dye job. Also, the color of the zipper on the inside pocket is much lighter than the leather, and it shouldn't be. It may not be the original zipper.

I can't see the listing so I don't know if the seller disclosed any re-dying or other work, but I would really suggest waiting for more opinions especially about the bag's previous history.

@BeenBurned? @whateve?

I don't think the bag has been redyed and if there was a dye job or zipper replacement, neither is mentioned in the minimal description.

This is the description from the listing - no measurements either:
"#4153
Coach purse.
Excellent condition.
Offers welcomed.
Thank you."

OK, thanks. I've never tried to re-dye a bag but those streaks are making me very uncomfortable.

I appreciate the insight into this bag! It looks like someone just grabbed it but I have a few more i want to post in here to get it authenticated. Thanks again!

Hello, I would like to request authentication for this Coach bag

Item: Coach Gigi Tote
Creed: Go882-f12888
Origin: China
Seller: Goodwill
Listing Link: Question: If you happen to know the official bag name, color, and if it is a legacy I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank You,
@southernbundles 🌻
This is a MFF Slim Tote, not a Gigi. The Gigi is bigger and whiskey colored. It is a better quality legacy leather. It has the legacy striped lining not the signature lining. Can't recall the color name of the MFF. Can't remember if this one has the word legacy in the title though. (getting old:smile:)
