@BeenBurned:
Should it be cause for concern if COACH is not stamped anyplace on the leather?
It's fine and the tag is correct for the wallet. I have it in my records as being from 1995 also.

Are you missing seeing a Coach stamp? My own item has a "Coach" embossed name on the upper right of the front, under the flap.

View attachment 5918193

I found photos so I knew where to search for the embossing. This wallet is not embossed there..nor anyplace else that I can find. The paperwork & the zipper pull are the only "written" indicators of Coach.

It's fine and the tag is correct for the wallet. I have it in my records as being from 1995 also.

BB - note my photos. I find it concerning that this wallet is not stamped or embossed as "COACH" like others of this style. Other than a human error, any clues as to why this is isn't stamped? Would it have been a "second" that got through QC and into the selling market anyway? I've looked inside, outside and upside down and find no stamping, not even a bullseye.

I am a small consigner and listed and sold the Coach Rambler's Legacy bag above on Ebay. The buyer has contacted me and told me the bag is counterfeit and she wants a refund. I and the original owner believe the bag to be authentic, however, if we are wrong I will certainly refund the buyer. Can you take a look at it? Thanks very much!

I DO find the dash lines above and below the serial number to be a bit odd.

Approx measurements: 9.5"w, 8"h, 3"d, 17" to 21" strap drop.

Forgot: seller ID 360kelly on Ebay

Hello, I hope someone can tell me if this listing is authentic. I have suspicions it’s not but I’m very new to this arena. I searched and was not able to find any prior authentications of this serial number or any bag of this type.

Item: envelope portfolio bag (I think)
Listing number: n/a
Seller and site where listed: yourgreatfinds.net
Link: https://yourgreatfinds.net/products/vintage-coach-envelope-portfolio-tote-bag?variant=44768271532282
Comments: I’m concerned about the crooked serial number, the depth the creed is stamped at, and the straightness of some of the stitching in available photos. There are more photos on the site linked but I am attaching what I think are the most relevant ones here for convenience. Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I haven’t bought any Coach purses used for a while but have just purchased one from Poshmark which I am suspicious about. The serial number is E2S - 7598 which I can’t find listed anywhere and the creed patch uses the word ”burnished” which I have never seen before.
Anyone have any ideas? I think I will just keep the tote when it comes as I bought it for a particular purpose but I am curious.
Thanks.
Hazel C.

Hi everyone!!
Item: red coach Willis 2001 (made in china)
Where purchased or how obtained: thrifted
Comments: curious what you look for while authenticity check
The bag has 2 hangtags, is that normal?

Hi I already asked for an authenticity check but was wondering if it would maybe be possible to tell me how you authenticate this bag.
(Some steps)
I’m in love with this Willis style and would like to learn more!
All other information are welcome!
(I’ve also already read the SaleArea guides) 🤗

Here are some pictures:

We don't go into detail any more about what makes a Coach genuine, We used to, in the distant past but the fakes makers and their distributors used our revelations to make their fakes more accurate. "The 2 halves of the C pattern on Signature styles should be mirror images" is the prime example. Once that started appearing in the forums 15 or 20 years ago, most of the fakes that DIDN'T have mirror image C patterns started disappearing even more quickly. So there's a lot that'never gets mentioned.

Neither of those details proves that a Coach might be fake. But without posting photos of the required details here along with a link to the listing, I'm afraid you're on your own.

Working ...

"Overstamping marks" as we call them, are found in both real and fake bags. This is one of the real ones. Your buyer is wrong.

Sorry. I just thought the serial number might indicate a fake. I’m technologically challenged but will try to attach pictures!
Thanks,
H.

Good evening dear authenticators! A request to authenticate please. Thank you!!!

Item: basic bag
Where purchased or how obtained: thrift store
Comments: dimensions are 7" height, 11" width, a tiny bit over 2" depth. I believe I acquired this bag before joining the Purse forum and I do not believe that I had this authenticated. I did a search in my content and did not find such a request. Pardon in advance if I am mistaken. I have several more basic bags to request if that is okay. Thank you!!!
