Hola!

Could you take a look at these 2 bags I received from ThreadUp?

This first one the creed is very light. The serial number is J7D-9804. I’ve attached a few pix of the serial #, but it’s really hard to see. The color is either burgundy or mahogany (?). It looks brown to me, but the bag does need a cleaning up.

Both are genuine. The first is an Equestrian Drawstring from 1997. We would need more photos and measurements to identify the second. Please remember to include the required information listed in the top post on each page, especially measurements when it has a pre-1994 all-numeric serial number.

No, there's apparently is no confirmed vintage style called a Penny. That's a mistake that goes back decades.
ETA- It's actually a Convertible Clutch style 9635 made in the early 1990s

Please note my correction, it's a 9635 Convertible Clutch, not a City Bag. (Sorry, I was trying to post and cook ravioli at the same time, NEVER a good idea!)

It looks authentic. I think it could still be that case, unless there was a larger size I don't know about.

What's the significance (if any) of a gold hang tag? The bag is a thrifted 9806, if that matters. I'll be back for authentication when the light is better for photos.
