It's authentic. Quite a rehabbing challenge!
It's authentic. And quite dirty!
Yes thank you both...I'm trying to be a bit cheap...thought I get it authenticated while I think about it.
Any of this style is going to set me back at least $100 NZ on shipping...
Not including tax.
Most of them are heading towards $250NZ.
That's why I haven't bought for a while.
The prices are just ridiculous.
Well on my end anyway.

The verdigris on some of these can be pretty bad. It can stain the leather.

If she's not able to find a white label or if the bag doesn't have one, the bag can't be authenticated. (It's also against ebay's rules to list it because sellers are supposed to know items are authentic before listing.)

That she's working with you is good, but she needs to get some of the nonsense she's been reading online out of her brain!

Swaggers are closely faked and there should be a white tag. If she wants to sell that bag, she needs to turn the pocket(s) inside out and look in the lowermost left corner of the pocket(s).

Unless she's able to find and photograph the tag, I don't recommend buying the bag.
Thanks for verifying that! I'll ask her to check all pockets again just in case, but now having seen other Swagger bags that people easily found the serial number for, I won't risk it if she can't find it. (I do think she was trying her best to help me, though, which is nice at least even if I can't get the bag, for what it's worth regarding the seller for anyone else reading in the future).

Because I passed on the bag with no inner tag and had already had a % off for another contender, I'm back again!
Appears to be a Coach Swagger Carryall, rather than a 27 like I thought this style was supposed to be before after doing more research and finding youtube videos from eight years ago, etc.

Item listed as: "COACH Swagger Black Pebble Leather Black Matte Hardware MSRP $495"
Listing #: 126153235850
Seller: kalick5
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/126153235850

Comments: The style number seems to be right and they sent me a photo with the tag, attached. Now I'm extra paranoid, though, because in the interim have looked at many more autentications for the Swagger, and found this post - hoping that it coming from NJ isn't a bad omen! I had hoped to use old posts to compare, but most (basically all) of the photos and links are defunkt.

Images are from the ebay listing.

Thank you again!

Hello,

I found this briefcase at goodwill earlier this summer. I didn’t think it was real because of the “bean bag” in the creed but after finding the little linen bag full of vintage coach adverts it made me question. Then more so after seeing the posts here. Let me know if I miss anything, my ADD makes written instructions extremely difficult for me. Thank you so much for your time.

It's genuine, and looks like a Diplomat Briefcase, style number 5170 and made in or around late 1990. The paperwork and booklets are all genuine and from the same approximate time period, 1990-1991. The Bean Bag creeds in genuine bags and briefcases are known factory mistakes and make it possible to date the briefcase very accurately.

Here's the Holiday 1990 catalog photo and description:

Hope this helps, and Welcome to the Purse Forum!

Hi! Curious about the authenticity of this one - something just felt a little off, and the font on the serial number doesn't seem to match Hyacinth's (I think!) previously-posted authentic creeds from the D plant in 1997. Thank you in advance!

Good afternoon dear authenticators! A request to authenticate please. Thank you!!!

Item: Shelburne 9038 (I hope!)
Where purchased or how obtained: thrift store
Comments: dimensions are about 8 inches height, 9" width and a little over 3" depth. I took a right side up photo and an upside down photo of the creed in the hopes of getting a correct side photo. No idea why they are sideways!!

Hello, thrifted recently but only today it hit me that the zipper may not be right. This has a ykk zipper and I see others online with a different circle type of zipper pull. Can anyone verify this wallet please? This measures about 4.25”x3.25”. TIA!

I believe that bag is fine.

You are correct. The font is incorrect for the 1997 D plant.

Report away!

It's fine.

ETA: The style number is 7219 and I've had this item with both types of zipper pulls:

For the one with the ring, I added a hangtag on a chain. It made it easier to pull.
