A vintage New York City made briefcase in burgundy for $15... had to get it. Please and thank you for taking a look and letting me know if it's authentic. PS: if real, what style is this? 17 x 11 x 3 It looks to me like 5060 "Attache."

Personally, I'd return it and demand a full refund.

It would bother me allowing Goodwill to keep the money on an item they never should have sold in the first place.

Just curious - did this one come with a COA?
Just to update, they are going to take it back. They sent a shipping label and I have to send it to them though. But at least I can get my money back and not have to dilemma over an upcycle.

Please remember to include measurements in future authentication requests, thanks!

Genuine, but I don't have any details on the style, other than that it was made in 1994. It's hard to even figure out what category it falls into, other than some kind of turnlock case.

You didn't show the sides of the case but it would have included a wrist strap, there's probably an attachment ring on one side.

@Hyacinth I have a creed in my files with the same style number that was on a Christmas stocking.

I have the same photos but looking closer at the stocking's creed I'm wondering if the serial might be 9833 or even something else. I also have photos of another 9933 turnlock case or whatever style it is, so both items are definitely genuine. I wish I had measurements of the turnlock item.

ETA - From the VERY few A plant serial in my files for 1994 and 1995,the plant seems to have been pretty much "out of the loop" by then, I only have date-able serials for September thru November for them in 1994. The original plant building may have been mostly converted to offices by then.

Hello! So I can’t find a ruler or measuring tape so save my life but I used the iPad measure tool thingy and it’s about 10 1/2 inches horizontal and about 7 1/2 inches tall. It does have the loop and handle on the left side
