I have a bag that appears like it could be a vintage Coach bag. The turnlock looks like Coach and the leather is Coach quality. I would like any opinions. I found no creed or other sings of label. Thank you.

I just received this bag today, and everytime I touch it or look at it, I feel happy. Something magical about this bag. I hope it's authentic. Seller measurements: Width 10”, Height 6”, Depth 3”, Drop 20”

I don't believe it's authentic.

Other opinions are welcome.

Thanks BeenBurned

I don't believe it's authentic either. The coach stamp on the backs isn't right and there are just too many differences among the charms

Thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to reply. I spent hours looking at images and eventually it led to this site/forum. What kept me curious is the turnlock closure, it looks very much like the Coach ones. Anyways, now I know.

Remember,Coach doesn't make their own turnlocks, they buy them from outside suppliers just like they buy their zippers. Any manufacturer can copy the design, and Coach's supplier probably sells to other companies, just like YKK sells zippers to hundreds or maybe thousands of other companies in addition to Coach. There is also a detail that isn't clear in the photo but might be different than how Coach turnlocks were designed 30 or 40 years ago. Any manufacturer can even copy the actual design of a genuine Coach bag since they are not protected by copyright laws. Most fashion items aren't, with very few exceptions.

One big problem with that turnlock is that it's not properly centered. MOST of the time, admittedly not always, a Coach plant would do a better job installing it correctly.
