Hellllllo! I'm interested in buying a vintage Coach Court bag, but I want to (of course) make sure that what I'm buying is authentic first. I know a few things to look out for, but would definitely appreciate a second opinion. I had a few listings bookmarked.

I also noticed that some of them have an adjustable strap, and others don't - did they make them both ways over the years, or does that mean the strap has been replaced? I super appreciate any input/feedback you're able to give. Thank you!!
1. authentic, early 90s.
2. authentic 1996
3. authentic 1998.
4. authentic early 90s.
5. authentic 1994.

Yes, the strap changed from nonadjustable to adjustable in later versions. Also, straps could have been replaced or interchanged with other bags.

Dear authenticators,
Could you please give me your opinion on this? I read all the guides but it’s impossible to tell from a newbie’s perspective.

Didn’t bring the photos here. Thank you so much in advance.
Authentic, made in 2006, so not vintage.

Hi! Can you please authenticate this? I think it’s a City Bag. I bought on Poshmark from @daisyy2. Link: https://posh.mk/q7BS5hsYnBb *She didn’t post good photos of the creed so I asked and she messaged me them (see attached). I believe the number is 0107-906 (just very faint!). I don’t have the purse yet so can’t give measurements. I can still cancel order if it’s a fake. Thanks!

authentic city bag made in the early 90s.

Thank you when I get home I will measure. I was so confused with the serial # looked to be made in 2000 and the style number turns up nothing. So I thought maybe it was a super nice fake.

You need to learn how to understand Coach serial numbers. trying to Google all-numeric Coach serials is a waste of time.

Read and Bookmark the six Salearea Coach Guides posted and Pinned to the top of every indexed page in this thread. You don't need to spend hours checking the Archives. All you need to do is read, pay attention to, and and try to understand the Salearea Guides. That's why I wrote them.

ETA - And please try to forget any conflicting nonsense you've read from anonymous posters in various "help" pages on the Internet. Most of it is just plain WRONG.

The more often you read them especially the sections on creeds and serial numbers, hopefully the better you'll understand them. And don't worry if some of the older links no longer work. Please read the entire thread:

If someone can copy the seller's creed and serial number photo and any other photos that might be helpful as a Reply to this post, I'll try to take a look. The only photo I can open is the first one.
This is the creed from the listing. For Olympic items I've seen two types of creeds. This seems to be a hybrid of the two I've seen.

I have another I just purchased that I need authenticated please. Can still cancel if it’s not real. On Poshmark from @77cisco. Link: https://posh.mk/WnKbFDx5nBb

Thank you so much!

I'm not sure about this one. I think it is okay. I'd appreciate more opinions.

@whateve, thanks for the photo.

I've also seen 2 or even 3 different creed formats for the 1996 USOC Atlanta Olympics items, as well as a few pretty obvious fakes. This one looks OK, of course from 1995 or 1996, and the serial numbers in the genuine ones usually don't follow the standard formats, in that the style number is often the first half of the serial number. This one is a genuine style 658 USOC Waist Pouch.

Hello! Popping back in because a bag I've been lusting after finally popped up, relatively within my price range. Just want to be sure it's authentic before buying :) Thanks so much as always!

Comments: The pictures of the creed aren't great - I can definitely ask the seller for another if these don't work!

I'm game to condition and polish the bag, and hand-sew the strap back on. Was thinking of just using Guttermann polyester thread - this might not be the right place to ask, but is there a product that would be better suited there?

It's authentic and appears to have been made in 1996.
