I'm sorry. I'm not very good with forums and new posts etc. I apologize if I'm doing this wrong. I would just like to see if my inclination to believe this bag is not authentic is actually correct. I purchased it from an online auction for next to nothing. So no harm no foul. It's just that I've never seen a bag with no Creed, no serial number and a cheap tag that says "made in India" as the only tag. I also don't feel great about the Coach insignia on tbe front. The fabric does not feel like a coach.

Hi. New here. Obviously. I'm likely not doing this right and I apologize for this. Not very good with forums. I purchased this coach at an online auction for next to nothing so I won't be too disappointed to hear that my feelings are correct and this is a fake Coach. I've had my hands on many Coach bags. This bag just doesn't sit right with me. The fabric doesn't feel right, the label on the front, the fact that there is no serial number anywhere or creed to be found. Just a cheap "made in india" tag on the inside. The bag measures 9" Depth 8" length and 1" Width. It is a crossbody with an adjustable strap. With a Drop of 23" at full length. The embossed leather strip doesn't feel like quality leather. I'm just looking for a little quidance. Maybe at this point I'm better at knowing a fake when I touch one. I should hope so. Thanks in advance for your help.
I don't see any problems with it. I believe it is authentic. Smaller bags like this often don't have serial numbers or creeds.

It's fake, for the reasons you mentioned. Style 9058 is a Legacy Leather Hobo and looks like this:

The fake is already gone.

Bring Up My Post from April

Thank you

Different years, different plants on different continents.

Remember what we've often said - you can ONLY compare creed and serial number details between items with the same style number and made in the same plant, year and preferably the same month. There's nothing wrong with either one. The additional digits in the newer bag from 2006 are mentioned in the Salearea Guides.

Sorry we missed it the first time around. That happens sometimes.

Both are authentic. The first was made in China in 2005 and the second in Turkey in 1998.
