Does having the 'irregular' or 'circle-dot' stamping in vintage coach bags mean that they're somehow defective?

The circle dot is a Factory Outlet Store stamp and doesn't prove anything. We've seen it in fakes as well as genuine Coaches.

And I've never been able to find any obvious problems in vintage genuine Coaches with "irregular" stamps.

Only 5 numbers in the serial number? FAKE. The creed is totally unreadable but there's a good chance it says Made In Korea. Is that the only creed and serial photo in the listing?

Thanks for the clarification, Hyacinth :flowers: I have read before on here that the circle dot meant it was sold at a Factory Outlet Store. Can't believe counterfeiters are now using the stamp in fakes. As for Coach bags with 'Irregular' stamps, it's truly a mystery why they get stamped at all

As for the outlet mark, how difficult would it be for counterfeiters to copy something so simple if they believed that it would make their fakes easier to sell? If they can stamp close copies of something as complicated as a creed stamp and serial number combination, a circle with a dot inside should be simple. However, many "outlet stamps"could have been stamped in fakes when they were "returned for a refund" to a Coach store and then sent to one of the outlets and given a genuine outlet stamp.

Genuine and probably from the late 1980s.
Ugh! I hate that so many Poshmark sellers are mixers.

There are at least 2 fake Dooneys that melmadyandco has sold.
