This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

There aren't enough pictures in the listing to authenticate it. I think there should be a white label inside the bag, possibly inside a pocket hidden on the lower left side of the pocket. If the seller will send a picture, please quote your request and upload the photo.

One of the reasons that seller IDs are required for requests is so members can search to see whether a seller's item has already been authenticated as well as to check to see if the seller has a history. In this case, the seller's name has been mentioned:

Basically that I know nothing and could "poof disappear"

Thank you so much, BeenBurned! :heart: I'm confident with rehabbing the black one, but typically struggle with lighter or tan-colored bags. The Coach Rehab and Rescue Club has always been a great support and resource for me over the years throughout my rehab journey. Everyone (including you) are helpful and knowledgeable and have taught me so much! Hopefully, I can pick up a few more tips about rehabbing this distressed Tabac basic bag without needing to 'paint' it. :doh: Have an awesome day! :flowers:

Yes, it's a genuine Sheridan Mayfield made in 1994 with a scrambled serialnumber prefix
