OK, strange question. But I think this is the right thread for it. I bought a bag, and it looks identical to another bag I have, which you have already authenticated. It's got a different style number!! The authenticated drawstring bucket is 4905, this is marked 4907. So, is it a counterfeit with the wrong number on, or a legitimate 1994 US plant B mistake?

Here's where I bought the bag in question. His pictures are lacking, so I'm attaching my own as well. Poshmark seller:

Please and thank you for letting me know what you think and what style number is correct?

Hi Authenticators. This bag strikes me as fake, but I’d like to hear from you on if I’m totally off base, or correct. The creed looks off, and the stitches seem wrong (usually with vintage Coach, wouldn’t they would the color of the bag?)

Item: vintage coach brown leather crossbody bag# 202-06 .n13
Listing number: 394511299124
Seller and site where listed: eBay, anst-3271

Please post a copy of the seller's creed and serial number photo(s). Is the "202-06" in the listing title the actual serial number in the bag? And does the creed say the bag was Made In Korea?

ETA-And if it DOES say "Made In Korea", did you search tPF for "Coach made in Korea"?

Coach employees made mistakes, especially in the first few months of a brand-new serial number system like these examples.

4905 is the correct style number for both. THIS is style 4907:

Nearly impossible to make out any of it, but I’ve never seen a creed without a frame surrounding the Coach name (but me not seeing one, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist… unless an Authenticator here tells me it doesn’t exist hah). Third photo is stitching color. Do vintage purses ever have such visible stitches or do they *normally* have thread color close to the color of the bag?

I don't see any problems.

If you have doubts about an item, please be specific.

Not an authenticator, but I know Coach creeds do not start with the words: "This is a good leather bag."

Thank you Hyacinth! My apologies. I should know better. The texture of the leather is a little stiff and I just noticed there's little creases around the eyelets on the backside?
*Update: I just found another one that had old serial numbers and had the same eyelets but they look different on newer ones.

Wrong turnlock, wrong serial number format, completely gibberish creed that starts "THIS IS A GOOD LEATHER BAG...", wrong kind of logo above the creed, poorconstruction on the flap and yes it says Made IN korea

DON'T buy A "Coach" if you can't read the creed or serial number.

Leather exture can vary due to the actual hides, how he bag was cared for nd what kind of products, if any, were used on it. Small hardware items can vary with the supplier.

Thanks for the details of the things that are wrong. I thought it was fake and wanted to report it to eBay, but the Coach Hall of Shame pinned post said to post in authenticate thread first  appreciate your help
