Picked this up at a local thrift shop and would appreciate it if someone could take a look at it. It looks good to me for the most part but there are a few little things that have me questioning it. Creed is a bit faint, number is J9N-9791 Thank you!

Sorry, it's fake. If the plant code is H, it isn't valid, and neither is a plant code N if it says it was made in the US. There's also a problem with at least one piece of hardware. And the tabs on the ends of the drawstring aren't a match.

Comments:Hello good morning could someone please help authenticating this wallet?
I loved this color when I saw it on eBay however, when I received I failed to find the Coach stamp on it. It feels genuine and it looks genuine but I don’t see the Coach stamp anywhere inside or outside. I have seen similar styles of this wallet and the Coach stamp is inside on the bottom right. Perhaps a mistake left forgotten from the maker? Thank you!

Without being able to actually see a Coach stamp there's almost no way I can accurately authenticate the wallet. Can you take a photo, or better yet several photos, of the lower right corner of the inside where the stamp should be? Try a few different angles and see if any hint of a Coach stamp appears. Thanks!

Thank you! Wasn’t sure about the plant code but it is either a H or N. The other issues were what had me concerned. It’s a nice bag. Scary to see how well made these fakes can be.

Yep, some fakes are just plain scary.

Any chance you can get a refund from the thrift shop? If they're located in the US, they committed a felony by selling counterfeit goods.

I knew it was a risk. It wasn’t a huge investment but I’ll try to get a refund. Although my concern then is that they will just turn around and sell it to someone else. I feel like there should be a way to keep these bags from being sold as ‘Coach’ and keep them out of the landfill.

Hi everyone,

Im new to collecting vintage coach. it a whole new craze for me and still getting to know the brand (so much knowledge here!).

Can you pls help me authenticate this one:

Item: Penny pocket
Seller: spinthrift / ebay
List #: 284910921458

I know this is not a rehab thread, but what would be the best dye for bone in your opinion?

Thank you so much, ladys and gens
As we've said before, there is no such thing as a penny pocket. It's an authentic convertible clutch. I don't have much experience with dye. Someone in the rehab thread could probably help.

That's difficult. Without a Coach logo, it's hard to prove it was made by Coach. It's not unheard of though. I've found newer wallets that I know are authentic Coach without any logo, but not one from this era, I don't think. Is there a made in stamp anywhere? Usually it would be stamped in the leather inside a pocket.

This one my friend just gave me. She said she doesn’t remember when or where she got it. I don’t know much about the unlined vintage bags (but am learning), lined bags, I know even less. Does this look ok?

Comments: It was sold out on the main website but managed to get in on alternative site. Looking at the bag, somes seams are crooked &broken and hardware flawed - makes it look fake. But apart from that the bag does look pretty genuine. H2022-4063. The price tag does not match the RRP, perhaps it could be a discounted outlet version? Can someone help me look at it? Thank you!
