Yes, that's the final nail in the coffin.

Use the bag and don't feel guilty if you beat the stuffing out of it. But it might be a good idea the use a black permanent marker like a Sharpie to write "FAKE" on the creed in large letters in case the bag accidentally gets back into circulation again.

Sorry we didn't have better news.
Thank you Hyacinth! and BeenBurned and whateve!!!

Hello,

It has been a while. I found this Coach Bleeker at the Goodwill. I have this same bag in red. This one concerns me. The stitching seems off and the creed states that the bag was made in the United States yet it has a 'P' production code which I thought was for Costa Rica. Please review and let me know. Thank you.

The bag leather, style and color look to be nice enough to carry. Is it possible to remove the stitching around the patch to completely remove it from the bag? And replace the Coach zipper pull with a generic pull? Is the hangtag fake as well? You could enjoy carrying the bag for now if you wanted to. A possible donation in the future would eliminate any indication it ever pretended to be a Coach. Just a thought

A few genuine early bags, briefcases and suitcases from the Business and Travel collections used the P code and were made in the US.

But the font used in the serial number of the bag you asked about is very distinctive and was only used in fakes. There are also other problems with it including the lining.
