All 3 look fine.

Item: Coach Berkeley bag
Where purchased or how obtained: Purchased on FB Marketplace in Canada
Comments: I took a chance, hoping it's legit. I've seen this code on other Berkeleys, so fingers crossed; however, does Coach reuse serial numbers? I thought they were unique to the bag, but perhaps not. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated!

The bag is authentic.

Prior to 1994, serial numbers were all numeric and unique. In 1994, they changed their numbering system to a format that has a prefix (month/year/factory) and a suffix (style number).

Your bag was made in 1996 so it was after they ended the random numbering. Other bags that were made in the same month, year and plant will have the same serial number.

Thank you! This was my guess around the serial numbers, too. Thank you for the explanation.

The six Salearea Guides' link is Pinned at the top of every index page in this sub-forum. That detail and more like it are covered in that thread.

It isn't a Berkeley bag. It's a saddle bag. Berkeley styles are suede.

Ah, good to know that... thanks! I think of it as a Crescent bag, but since this is a later model w/ a creed, I thought maybe Coach named them Berkeleys. As long as it's authentic, I'm fine w/ whatever it's called. ;)
You're welcome. A crescent bag has a seam down the front - this style doesn't. There is also a Berkeley saddle bag, which is partly suede.

Comments: tia!!

This bag is listed on other sites, too. I know it's on ebay and maybe Mercari. I'll see if I can find the listings and post them in the Hall of Shame to report.
