It was NEVER called a Penny Pocket, just a Pocket Purse. The bag is genuine, from 1996, the "Penny" part is fiction. Note Coach's Fall 1997 catalog page:

...and from as far back as 1987:

The "Penny" part was mentioned years ago in connection with a completely unrelated vintage style by someone connected to Coach but we've never seen any actual PHYSICAL evidence (price tag, catalog page, advert, etc) of it ever officially being used. Unfortunately, as it often happens, a few sellers got the details scrambled and started using it for almost any small vintage turnlock style.

A WORD TO THE WISE:
Don't EVER assume that all sellers know the correct name, manufacture date or even decade, style number, style family, or design details of what they're selling! (This is even MORE important if and when they invoke the name of Bonnie Cashin).
I think the "penny" came into existence with the 2012 Legacy collection. The small flap was called penny shoulder purse.

Another purchase from shopgoodwill.com. It has a COA from another "not-to-be-named" authentication service, but I'd like to hear from the real experts. :) Authentico? I think it's beautiful and will clean up nicely. My research seems to indicate it's a 93084, Pave Girlie Mix keychain/fob. Please and thank you for sharing your time and wonderful expertise!

It looks good. I'm surprised none of the jewels are missing.

No. None of the items with 5 digit style numbers are vintage. I don't have a year for this style in my files.

Thank you for the reply!

The style was saved to my files in January 2012, so it would be from late 2011 or early 2012

Can't help you there, sorry!

But this is how I personally look at it - black Coach bags are the easiest color to find and two or three black bags of different sizes and uses (small and dressy, large and practical, and one that's fun and a bit bling-y) are really all I need. All my other Coaches are ACBB (any color but black). Maybe I'm thinking back to my child and teen years when my practical mom decided that she would only buy black purses for me because "black goes with everything", so other posters' mileage may differ.

All very good points!!!

My collection of vintage Coach is still relatively small - two Willis bags in black and one in BT, Taylor bags in red and mahogany, a black Lula bucket bag, and the new Duffle Sac in British Tan, which I’ve wanted for years but never found in person. I only recently really decided that I live in a handbag drought area, thrift wise, and started hunting them down online…

So what I think I’m getting from your sage advice is that I probably need both colors to round things out.

That sounds like the perfect solution to your problem. :girlsigh:
