For further information, please refer to the first post on page 1 of this thread.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller and site where listed
    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

I don't see any problems with either of them. Yours was made for boutiques. The one on Goodwill was made for factory and therefore is missing some of the extra details your bag has. You can't compare bags with different style numbers and expect them to be identical.
Thanks, Whateve! It's interesting that Coach would use one design to make two different bags for separate retail channels. Learn something every day!

That bag is authentic.

One of the reasons why we require seller IDs for requests is to allow potential buyers to search that seller to see if there's a history, either good or bad.

In the seller's defense (and this isn't intended to defend a seller who has fakes), I don't believe it's a seller who knowingly sells fakes. I think ProVintageGear is a seller who thinks he knows Coach better than he does and as such, doesn't verify his items.

A seller who mixes is more dangerous IMO than a seller who only sells fakes because there's a sense of comfort instilled in buyers who received genuine items and they may assume everything is authentic.

May I have input on the following, please?
Casey bag
Serial number: A7D-9923 (I think)
eBay, item number 314212963672
Seller: Pacof7353

FAKE.

Hi All, Can you tell me if Coach made the legacy studio flap 9145 in white with brass hardware?

Please read the READ ME post at the top of each page and post with the required information and photos. Whether or not Coach made an item in a specific combination doesn't prove authenticity.

So please, save yourself AND us some time and post photos and info of the specific bag you're asking about.

Hi, please authenticate this for me.
Bag was bought by a friend in China for his wife from JD.com. JD is similar to a Chinese Amazon. It was not sold by a third party vendor but by JD.com itself. The listing claim to be authorized vendor. Hence my friend never doubted the authenticity. When he sent me photos of the bag, I was pretty sure it's a fake. I just want to confirm it's a fake before he apply for a refund from JD. Thank you! Here is the link to the bag,

I attached photos I have.
I'm not familiar with that bag nor (generally) with items specially made for the Asian market, of which this item seems to be.

From what I'm seeing, there are details that are considerably more elaborate than I can imagine the fakers trying to copy successfully.

I'm not able to find another example of style C2111 that I would consider to be authentic though I found other bags claiming to be C2111 that were definitely fake from sellers/markets in Malaysia and Singapore. The definitely-fake C2111s weren't even the same style.

I'd like to see the back of the smaller white tag. The only thing that bothers me (and it may be because I've never seen it on any item in the US) is the larger white tag with the Chinese text. The "Coach" name on that tag isn't the font Coach uses but again, it could be an Asian thing that I'm not familiar with.

Is there anything on the back of the longer white tag? If so, please post a picture.
Is there a "made in" label inside the bag? If so, please post pictures of both sides.

Although I'd like to see more pictures as requested, it's reassuring that I don't see red flags.
Hi, thank you for the insight. Here are the rest of the photo I can get. mmexport1667431370510.jpg
