The link still works:

The bag is authentic, made in 1996.

Note: We've seen fakes with outlet bullets so that's not necessarily proof of authenticity.
Thank you! I’m relieved. And thanks for the info on fakes with the outlet bullets. I won’t make that assumption anymore!

FYI, it's illegal to sell fakes PERIOD. Claims not to know whether authentic, claims of items being gifts or even an admission of an item being fake don't make it okay to sell.

Counterfeit items are illegal and cannot legally be sold anywhere.
I know it’s illegal sadly it seems as though not much is being done about it and I’m not sure what we as individuals can do. I’ve actually been to markets in China where they sell counterfeit everything (I DID NOT purchase anything). Lots of bad fakes until you get to the secret back rooms, hidden cases, etc. I couldn’t believe how convincing the fakes can get. I’ve alerted local Goodwill stores on more than one occasion that they were selling a fake (totally obvious even to me and not just coach) but they didn’t seem to care. Based on what I’ve seen and learned here, my untrained eyes have noticed questionable coach bags at thrift stores and at various online reseller sites. I’m so grateful to have found such an amazing resource for not only authentication but rehab, care and general information about the history of Coach bags. I‘m sure like many, my obsession with the vintage coach bags comes from a very personal place. Everything about them brings to mind fond memories.

Oh, that’s what those round circles are saying. I learned another new thing today!

I don't authenticate or promote Poshmark so maybe another authenticator will comment on the listing you've asked about. (My reason for my feelings about PM are well-documented through the forum. They do little to remove fakes and many sellers mix and sell their fakes on PM knowing they can get away with it.)

what I will say is that sunshinesales does list and sell fakes so it's obvious she doesn't verify her items. NOT RECOMMENDED!

ETA: I see that @whateve commented on the listing you originally asked about but I hope future buyers will keep sunshinesales's history in mind.
Thank you @BeenBurned ! I was skeptical about this listing. I did look at some of their other listings and noticed some of the same listings you cited as being fakes, seemed fake to me as well. Paying close attention to the comments you all as authenticators make, has really helped me become a better consumer. Thank you so much, as I was about to purchase the one I inquired about. I had a question for sunshinesales which they never answered, but took the time to lower the price, so I decided NO!
Thank you sincerely!

That is so cool! So Coach went from its New York factory to the west coast and opened a store? That is one of the original Coach stores? That is so intersting how it was set up like a Library. She said that store kept her so busy and she was making 6.50 an hour climbing up and down the latter retrieving bags all day.
I remember the Coach store in the local mall from the mid 90's. It was a small store and it was set up that way, lots of dark panneling and recessed displays. Although by that time, I don't think they used ladders! There was a back store room. Then over the years, it was remodelling into something very light and bright! It just closed, during COVID.
I know there are pictures of what you describe in Coach, A Story of New York Cool.
