Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.
For further information, please refer to the first post on page 1 of this thread.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

It would have been a deal if it were authentic but I'm not liking what (little) I see of the creed and the authenticity disclaimer is doubly scary.

I see that someone asked the seller for a clearer (better) creed picture. I'd recommend asking the seller to hold off shipping until you can see that.

And shawnalv might be interested to know that having purchased from Mercari and not verifying authenticity doesn't make it okay to flip. She claims that because she bought second, she can't verify authenticity but that's very untrue. She didn't try!

ETA: On second thought, shawnalv knows it's fake having sold, (taken a return) and reduced the price after selling on this listing.

I'll go all the way here. It's DEFINITELY fake. Cancel the sale and get your money back if you've already paid.

The (deliberately?) out of focus creed and serial are huge problems, and the digits in the serial prefix don't fit with any valid combination or font for that style and year that would have been made in the US. The plant code looks like either a Y or a T, and neither of those are valid for 2002 from ANY Coach plant.

I'm also seeing several other probable construction problems with the bag.

DO NOT BUY FROM POSHMARK SELLER " shawnalv " !!!

And another reminder for all members - NEVER buy any highly-faked brand from any Poshmark seller without authenticating it here first BEFORE you commit to the purchase!​


ETA - And for an even faster authentication for any Coach bag or accessory, from Poshmark or any other seller, please include in your authentication request a large readable copy of the photo of the creed and serial number from the seller's listing !

purchased at- Urban Exchange
Creed: K1880- 38541

Hi All! I had to pull off the fwy so my gf could use the restroom, saw this funky second hand store & thought- “let’s see what the coach God reveals.”
Found this Dreamer behind another bag…. it’s in like new shape. i’m afraid to put a finger nail mark on it. The style # matches…. just want to confirm it’s authenticity. It even came with a dust bag…
OH! they told me if it wasn’t authentic I could return it within 5 days with receipt.

Hi there! Quick question! Usually before I request authentication on a Coach bag, I will do a quick search to see if a particular seller or even if the actual listing has been posted on this thread - to save time for authenticators. I haven't been on in a few weeks and when I went to do a search, the parameters have changed. It appears as though you can't plug in a seller's name or any other information. Am I missing something??

I think you type the search key in the search box, then select "this thread", then click the red search button.
