Genuine and made in 1999.

"Overstamping" doesn't prove or even hint that a "Coach" may be fake. There are many more genuine vintage Coaches with overstampings than there are fakes.

Thank you! I am happy to be wrong AND to learn something! I appreciate it!
FYI, here's an example of fake over/understamping.

It's genuine but not from the 1970s. The Station Bag style 5130 in its current form wasn't even introduced until Fall 1987 and is listed as "New" in the Fall 1987 catalog. Before that there was a similar style with a slightly different design but the same 5130 style number called a Shoulder Pouch Large which didn't have an inside pocket and which was discontinued in 1985. So this is definitely the later 5130 Station Bag. I would date this to 1987 or early 1988 based on the catalog intro page and the Made In New York City line on the creed.

ETA - (Sorry this took so long, my VERY old computer refuses to work with Etsy , or vice versa, and I only just found what might be a probably temporary workaround that actually let me see the listing).

I bought this one today at my local goodwill. It doesn't have a creed and I couldn't find a white tag. It says coach embossed on the front, or back, I don't know which. It has a hangtag. It measures about 9.75" across and 7 and a 1/2 inches tall. Please and thank you for an opinion on authenticity and if you know what style this is I would appreciate that info as well.

It looks fine. I don't remember the name of the style or the line but I believe it was made around 2013-2014.

Wonderful authenticators,

Would you please look at this listing when you have a chance?

Item: 284936901407
Seller: thesuccessk4267
Item link and site: eBay Rambler 9061 Comments: item is listed as a Rambler but it has a handle? Is it authentic? Is it a Rambler?

Thanks in advance!
J

Always use caution when buying from brand-new sellers on Ebay.

This one not only couldn't be bothered to putting any effort into reading or researching the actual serial/style number, but also lists the bag as being made in the United States when it actually says in the creed that it was made in Hungary. And as you already mentioned, it's not a Rambler OR a Rambler's Legacy or ANY kind of Legacy style, but is apparently a Court Bag although the serial number is almost unreadable.

Because I can't be 100 percent certain that the serial number is valid even though a fake with a "Hungary" creed is almost unheard-of, I'm going to say "probably OK" but that seller has a long way to go before I'd consider buying anything from them. Giving a name to something because it kinda sorta maybe looks a tiny bit like some other style on Ebay is NO way to be selling Coaches in today's market.

Not mentioning what looks like a damaged area on the front of the bag that's partly and possibly deliberately hidden by the hangtag PLUS what looks like several another stain, maybe water stains, lower on the front doesn't give me warm fuzzy feelings about the seller either. With only 3 very poor photos when Ebay allows 12 means that there may be other hidden problems as well. Even if it sells for the starting price there's no way I'd personally buy it without seeing A LOT more photos. Ebay's condition definition of "Pre-owned" says
"Pre-owned
An item that has been used or worn previously. See the seller’s listing for full details and description of any imperfections."
which means the seller should be STATING any imperfections in the description, NOT just showing them in the photos.

Other opinions are welcome.

There may be a completely legitimate reason for this but I did notice that the same bag was previously sold on July 4. (The bidder who won is now suspended from ebay and that might explain why it's being sold again.)
