Do you need any better photos from me? The storypatch is small, but perhaps I can get you a better pic of it. Here, also, is a pic from my online research, with price tag for the same item. I think the official name is accordian zip.

The two pacman items I bought have a detail on the creed this one is missing. The print on my items is different too. But I'm not an expert on newer styles. Maybe @BeenBurned can take a look.

It's authentic but it isn't a saddle bag. It's a crescent bag #9235.

I noticed the missing detail on the creed and some other differences. I'm not comfortable authenticating this because there are just too many close fakes and without being able to examine it in person, I just can't say.

I'd like to see the listing for that item you found online. Were there more pictures?

I found a picture of the (supposed) 2016 wallet in the same style, 73397 showing a 2016 manufacture but it didn't have a creed. Instead it had a white label with numbers on it.

I'm not comfortable that the only other wallets in this style I can find are mostly from sellers on Asian websites. And most of what I've seen have problems indicating that they're probably fake.

Do you know where the person (private seller) from whom you're purchasing bought the wallet?

Hey there!

I'm new to the forum and would like to get this bag authenticated. I purchased this bag at a thrift store near Chicago. It looks like a 9950 Janice Legacy, just wondering if it's real or fake. Measures are 9.5” x 10” x 4”. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated, thanks and take care!

It's a genuine Janice's Legacy made in 2007 for Coach's Factory stores. Technically it's not considered "vintage" yet since vintage implies that an item is 20 years old or more, so it has 5 years to go.

The person I bought it from said it was a gift and that they didn't care for pacman. I got it inexpensively. I will look again for the listing that had tags, that was on facebook. Found it:
Thanks for looking at my wallet and sharing an opinion! Here was another listing on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/275003191374 This seller references the same UPC number as is on the facbook receipt:

The Facebook page you've referenced as the source of your comp pictures raises more (rather than fewer) red flags in my mind.

The page is from a site/seller in Thailand.

Although I am aware that many Asian sellers do purchase from US sellers to resell in their country, as many posts have confirmed, many Asian sellers also have very close fakes.

The other comp from the Las Vegas seller isn't helpful and in looking at that seller's listings, I see many of the same red flags as I see in listings for fakes. They have inadequate pictures, items that aren't available (or readily available) in the US, and I'd guess the seller is either in Japan or sourcing her items out of Japan. (A lot of the fakes I see from Japan have fake receipts and fake tags with "correct" UPC codes.)

Have you ever noticed that when the US outlets carry items, those items are a dime a dozen on ebay? Ask yourself why there aren't more of these MFF items on local sites. Even if they're a few years old, there'd be US sellers with them rather than the majority of listings being in other countries.

One more thing: I'm not saying that it's impossible to get a limited edition item or an item made for the Japanese or international market, but I don't think that's the case here.

Sorry I am not more helpful.

It's authentic, made in 2011. Yours is a color seen less frequently than those in purples/pinks.

Thanks for the thorough, thoughful reply. I was planning on selling this. Now, I won't. Not taking the risk. It's actually a really beautiful, well made thing. Oh, well, you live and learn. I'm not going to to try and return to sender, either. It's really not enough money to be worth the hassle. And I really do believe the person I got it from thought it was legit.

Hi, I bought this Coach on vinted & would love to know your opinion. Thank you for your time, I'm quite new to all this world and would love to have other opinions. Handle 27 cm, Height 30 cm, Length 35-44 cm, Depth 12 cm,

It could very well be genuine. I just don't know. And even getting a professional authentication isn't a guarantee that the company is correct. (Look how many inaccurate COAs from multiple companies we see!) As with some of the newer LV bags as well as Chanel 15 series and higher, reputable authentication companies require that they review the items in person. I think some Coaches might have to go that route.)

There are times when items can't be authenticated one way or the other and your wallet is one of those cases.

Here's an example. I recently saw a bag from a Jean-Michel Basquiat bag. On first glance, the bag looked good, the creed looked good and everything "seemed" okay.

The first picture is a side-by-side comparison of creeds; first is the one in question and the second is a creed from an identical authentic bag made in the same month/year/plant as the first claims to have been made. There are subtle differences noticeable if you are looking for them, but easy to miss.

The next picture shows the multiple mistakes that the counterfeiters made.
