Hi all! Looking for your expertise  I'm not very well versed in vintage Coach, but have been looking for this style for a while now. Found this one but it looks to be in great condition... Too good perhaps? Thank you for your help!

Please post a copy of the seller's listing photo of the creed stamp and serial number. Thanks!

Hello! I bought this Coach bag at a local Goodwill for $20. It seemed to be of high quality, regardless of the brand, so I felt confident in the purchase. I did not know at the time how many counterfeits of Coach are out there. What do you think? Is it the real thing? Thanks!

The Creed says:

THIS IS A COACH BAG. IT WAS
HANDCRAFTED IN CHINA OF
LIGHTWEIGHT AND DURABLE
WEATHER RESISTANT GLOVE-
TANNED COWHIDE THAT IS
SPECIALLY TREATED TO WITHSTAND
THE RIGORS OF TRAVEL.

The “serial number” on the Creed of this bag is No J8S-0597, which might indicate it was made in September of 1998. It appears to never have been used. The crease on the back side suggests, possibly, it was stored flat in a box for many years.

Oh, dimensions:
Face panel length: 14.5 inches
Face panel height: 11.5 inches
Bottom panel width: 4.5 inches

When stuffed, or in a natural position, the bag pooches out and increases the dimensions. These are the measurements of panels only.

Strap Length: 52-53 inches. This is the full length of the strap and buckle, apart from what adjustments might be made.

Item: Nottingham/Binocular Bag
Where purchased or how obtained: purchased on Poshmark, already in hand
Comments: My first time on this thread, so thanks for your patience if I'm contributing incorrectly! Measurements are 9" wide (at bottom) 11" wide (at top) about 10" tall when closed and clasped and about 4" deep. Purchased this recently because it looked like a fun rehab project and was priced low. It was clearly heavily used. I'm unfamiliar with ivory/bone color bags, so I don't feel confident in my assessment about this one, even in hand. I also can't find many other bags of this style online to compare it to. Thank you so much for your help.

Correction: The bottom is actually 6 inches wide, as I did not notice the 1.5 inch bottom of the front pocket.

Could I please ask for this bag to be authenticated?
I believe it is the No.9385 The Shoulder Purse
Item purchased at a local thrift store.
Measurements 8” x 4.5” x 2”
Hang tag is missing.View attachment 5590545View attachment 5590546View attachment 5590547View attachment 5590548View attachment 5590549View attachment 5590550View attachment 5590551View attachment 5590552View attachment 5590553
If authentic, any idea when it would have been made?
Thank you so much.

You're right, it's a genuine Shoulder Purse and probably would have been made between 1984 and 1988.

It's not necessary to quote the creed, the photos tell us what we need to know. It's genuine, made in 1998 and was called a Flight Bag.
